"The guy LeBron needs is Sam Cassell," says Arenas, "He needs someone who wants to take the big shots at the end of the game." I interject that LeBron would never stand for that -- it would kill his ego. "LeBron would much rather have Cassell take the final shot," says Arenas. "People don't realize that LeBron doesn't want it."
I ask Arenas about his recent fifty point guarantee against Portland. "I knew after I said that that they'd double (team) me," he says "so I came out not too aggressive and got my teammates involved. It was part of my plan. But when we go up to their place, they won't be expecting it, and they won't double me. That's when I'm really planning on dropping 50."

dude talks too much.... someone shut him up

Stupid arrogant asshole who is a me first point guard. I guess he thinks less of Nash since Nash doesn't always take the big shot.

Gilly's an idiot. I remember him mouthing off about 'payback' 'cause he initially didn't get picked as an all-star last year. Dude seriously needs to shut it and just play ball; his team is struggling pretty good at the moment.

I wonder who he thought hit the game winner two, three straight times to win by one against his team in last year's playoffs. Not to mention the fact that he was the one who choked at the FT at the end of that series.

time for him to shut up and play, he had a terrible game tonight

8-26 FGM-A and 1-9 3s for 22 points, only one assist...ok, he had 8 boards and went to the line for 5 points but this is not efficient at all

Some of his bigger games have come on opponents' home floors too - Suns and Lakers most recently in December.

Gilbert Arenas is becoming the Terrell Owens of football, pretty soon he won't have respect from his teammates, and everyone will hate him. An Arenas - Owens comparison is actually pretty accurate when you think about it...they both have the capability to be the best guy on the court/field, but often they scrub it up and their me first at ude reveals how ty of true players they are. They both talk a lot.

Just wait, Arenas is still entering the TO phase, it won't be long before no one lieks him. He talks way too much and worries too much about his stats, and his 37.57 three-point attempts per game shows that.

Sure, he has some big games, but he also has his completely ty games where he misses 13 threes, 27 total FG's...just like TO when he has big games, well, used to, and also has his games where he drops the ball 5 times.

    Let's take a look:

    Feb 14@ PHI (worst defense in league) 8/26 = 30% FG. 3-pointers? 1/9.
    Feb 11 POR 3/15 = 20% FG. 0/8 3PT land...stunning.
    Jan 26 @ DET 10/27 FGs 2/10 3's
    Jan 20 BOS 10/26 FGs 2/9 3's
    Jan 17 NYK 4/14 FGs 0/5 3's
    Jan 13 SAS 6/20 FGs 1/5 3's
Jan 12 NOK 5/19 FGs 2/7 3's...not bad for the Hibachi
    Dec 30 @MIL 7/22 FGs 2/9 3's
    Dec 18 @DEN 10/30 FGs 3/12 3's
    Nov 24 @ MEM 1/12 FGs 0/3 3's
    Nov 22 @ HOU 8/26 FGs
    Nov 17 @ DET 7/20 FGs 1/5 3's
    Nov 15 @ NYK 5/19 FGs 0/7 3's
    Nov 12 NJN 6/23 FGs 4/12 3's
    Nov 6 @ORL 6/20 FGs 1/3 3's
    Nov 1 @LE 2/12 FGs 1/3 3's

Now, these aren't all of his games where he has shot poorly only in total FGs, these are most of his games where he shot poorly from all FGs, including 3's. There are other games where he hasn't shot bad from 3's, but in total FGs has been aweful anyway.

In conclusion, he shoots way too many 3's for the of it. He plays for himself. After looking at his numbers, he probably averages 9 3's per game.

I did it for you since you don't seem to want to show the rest of his stats.

    Assists - 6.1
    Freethrow % - .837

What a surprise he gets his teammates involve and makes a high number of his freethrows. He is no Nash but the Wizards would not even be in the playoffs without him even in the East.

For each individual game? No thanks, what I did just took quite a few minutes.

But for the year, he averages 83% FT's and 6 assists...nothing THAT amazing I mean, he is a PG...

The point was he's a who overrates himself and takes so many poor shots. He's trying to tell LeBron that he doesn't come through during the clutch and take shots, but at least LeBron doesn't take a thousand ill-advised shots per game. Arenas is just trying to take some limelight away from LeBron, knowing that LeBron is a thousand times better than Gilbert will ever be.

Thats your opinion and I think he is one of the best players in the NBA and he is only 24 so he has not even reached his full potential. Just ask Kobe.

    *BUMP*

    Today vs. Minnesota, Gilbert's stats:

4/22 FG , 1/11 3PT, further proving my point that he shoots way too much, especially from behind the arc.

I guess he gets some credit though for only missing one foul shot....

terrible but i'm glad he's putting up stats like this, maybe it'll stop his verbal blabbering...or maybe he's content to settle for the 50 point game every now and then
