mickey mouse club more intelligent than ESPN crew
Did anyone else find their analysis total garbage? they were all basically defending the players(or their "boys") and saying it was understandable for them to go into the stands like that. they started to slowly modify what they were saying as the evening went on, but even today an article by Legler came out in which he basically sided with the players again and said he understood they did what they had to do. Why do these clowns still have jobs?? TNT must be laughing their asses off at the fact their commentators are head and shoulders above anything ESPN puts out. Your takes?

Steven A Smith, Walton, Legler and the rest of the ESPN-ABC crew are worthless. Theres no excuse EVER for what happened last night. Just like adults are held more responsible for their actions than children, NBA players carry more responsibility than fans.
I was horrified at how fast they jumped to the players defense. If I had to say why it's because they don't lose anything if they bad mouth a few fans who were in the wrong anyway. Whereas if they were to give the players their due of the blame they'd have to deal with players holding that sort of thing against them when they go looking for interviews on all of this junk when the dust starts to settle.
While I like the TNT guys alot better I like Legs and Anthony. Stephen A. Smith can go lick monkey nipple for all I care.
I think at first they were going to try to spin it that it was all on the fans. Anybody in their right mind could see that the players were completely out of line.
Now today if you watch ESPN, everyone's takes are slowly drifting toward being against the players. I guess the statement by David Stern probably helped.
Yeah, it was definitely a case of former players defending their own. SAS is just a hanger on.
Very true. I was shocked when Saunders said he was "appauled ... at the fans." I was wondering if they knew something I didn't. After seeing all the video, I learned they did not.
It'll be interesting to see what ESPN radio hosts and their other shows (PTI, Around the Horn, etc.) have to say about it on Monday. I don't always agrree with them, but I respect alot of the hosts' and guests' opinion more than I do that of the ESPN crew last night.
they were the only ones with a good take on any of this
Personally, I wouldn't trust ANY opinion Greg Anthony has as far as NBA fights are concerned. Remember, this is the same guy who came out IN STREET CLOTHES to sucker punch Kevin Johnson during a Knicks - Suns fight 10 years ago.
I was right about to say. Screamin A and Greg Anthony are unwatchable.
Walton was not siding with the players at all.
but hes still incompetent and worthless
BS, Walton is one of the best and most knowlegable announcers around, and his humor is some of the best around as well.
Don't know about you guys but i think Stephen Smith is an idiot, I really hate that guy.
Legler and Anthony are just a bunch of hacks. These guys could barely hack it in the NBA, so who are they to be analysts. They don't know crap about basketball as shown by their obvious lack of skill.
It says a lot for ESPN's "analysts" that the only one with a freakin' clue on this is a former hippy and pothead.
