Does anybody know wh POT DAY is on Hitler Birthday ? ? ?
This reminds me of a young Engineer the used to work with me.
Last year it was about a week after 420 day and i kept seeing him go back and forth from the water fountain with a big glass of water.
I asked him "are you hung over?"
He said "no , have you ever heard of 420 day?"![]()
I said no
He told me about it and that he had endulged, the problem what he had applied for a job in Houston and, you guessed it, he had to do a drug test.![]()
Good thing is he got the job he took one of those "wonder" pills that would mask any drugs in your system
but he was sweating it for a while![]()
I don't smoke and either should you.
You probably eat Big Macs and don't exercise.
I don't celebrate, and didn't know what 4/20 was until 1999. But I thought this was interesting for all of you who do:
It is widely accepted that in the early 1970s, a group of teenagers at San Rafael High School in San Rafael, California used to meet every day after school at 4:20 p.m. to smoke marijuana at the Louis Pasteur statue. Many cannabis users continue to observe 4:20 as a time to smoke communally. It is likely that this time was initially chosen due to the fact that cannabis has approximately 420 active chemicals in it. By extension April 20 ("4/20" in U.S. dating shorthand) has evolved into a counterculture holiday, where people gather to celebrate and consume cannabis.
The widespread popularity of 4/20 celebrations in the U.S. has brought about calls advocating for the reform of American marijuana laws. The 420 Campaign urges individuals to become involved in the political process and the drug policy reform movement. Specifically, the Campaign calls for leveraging "April 20th as a focal point every year to concentrate pressure on Congress to legalize marijuana." In addition to contacting state and national legislators, people can take action by supporting organizations—such as NORML and MPP—that represent the interests of marijuana users and other concerned citizens.
Cool :
* 420 is the le of a comic book series[8] featuring the alternative superhero Captain Cannabis. Also this comic book received its copyright status on 4/20 (April 20, 1977)
* Ontario's Highway 420 serves as the site of an annual cannabis rally [9]
* "The Legend of 420" is a story featured in the stage production The Marijuana-Logues[10]
* NORML launches its daily "AudioStash" podcast at 4:20 every weekday[11]
* Noting that "the national weed smoking day is 4/20," rapper Method Man named his (2006) album 4:21...The Day After

Props to avid smokers who have productive lives.
F the stereotypes
Oh stereotypes........sigh
Since when do you have to be a smoker to be a lazy junk food addict?
Right on muth. I live a healthier and more active lifestyle than most of the folks who sit their telling people what they shouldn't do.
smokin and chokin all day
I'll just keep smoking the illegal untaxed pot.
Legal taxed pot should, in theory at least, actually be cheaper than illegal pot due to the lack of a black market mark-up.
This is already the case in California when pot is purchased with a medical marijuana license.

I thought this was a birthday thread for jimcs50?
well kinda, the prices are the same as "street" in the LA county ones.
Yeah, I guess that whole laughing/having a sense of humor stereotype is blown, too.
It was a joke. That's usually what "" indicates.
