I think there was another thread about this. Maybe they were a little rusty, but who knows. They'll settle down and take care of this team. I think the Mavs are in a more nightmarish matchup than the Spurs.
It seems to me the big 3 who all played so terrible last night were totally out of sync, could it be because they sat in street clothes the last two games? The rest of the team that did dress and did play even if for limited minutes played well, not dressing is crap! I think they should have played limited 10-15 minutes in the 2 meaningless games but the should have played some. Seems like that week off took them totally out of their rhythm, if even 1 of the 3 plays decent last night we win that game, oh well hope Pop doesn’t let them sit again in future years. Anybody else see this, agree, or I am I just taking crazy pills!?!

Having them sit the Memphis game was fine, but they should have gotten a few minutes vs Denver on Wed. The last time those guys went a week without playing a game was months ago, and the rust at the beginning led to frustration at the end. But, nothing like a nice slap in the face to wake you up. I see both the Spurs and Mavs winning in 6.
B-I-N-G-O !
I totally agree. Our big three were MIA, and we still had a chance to win. I'm not worried. I expect payback on Wednesday.
One thing for sure about the Mavericks and the Mavericks fans (reading their forums and listening to ESPN 103.3 - Dallas) they are scared to death of the Warriors. The Warriors show absolutely no fear of the Mavericks. There in for the fight of their lives.

i would rather hve all of them for the playoffs and out of sync one game....then have them be injured for some stupid ass pointless game and been done for the year
happens but im glad it didnt happen to us
I was going to mention this earlier, but figured someone had started a thread on it already. I happen to strongly believe that Tim, Tony, and Manu all had bad games due to them sitting out. It takes a while to get back into sync. I am not making excuses. Denver was ready and played well. I just think that the big three missed a lot of shots they normally make due to the DNPs late in the season.
If you play them in meaningless games you are tiring them, but if you sit them down they get rusty.
Lose - lose
Both the Mavs and Spurs looked rusty.
Warriors played all their starters up until the last game of the regular season. They looked very sharp. Nuggets to some degree too.
Wasn't just the big 3 that sucked...
Jacques Vaugn sucked...
Barry sucked(although I think his sucking was heroic, Barry knew his shot wasn't there yesterday so he decided to suck and take himself out of the game so he wouldn't hurt the team when it mattered most).
Vaughn wasn't bad, he played hard and ran the offense as usual. The starting 5 all sucked, and when that happens your team is in trouble.
Vaughn played really good defense yesterday, he is just really, really bad on offense
Vaughn sucked. Hope AI wore a rubber.
I really don't like Vaugnn at all. It seems like at times he can barely bring the ball up court. Where is Speedy Claxton when you need him...
Speedy Claxton played one good game in his entire SPurs career and Spurs Fans want to retire his jersey because of it...
I like Vaugn better than Speedy.
I think had Pop played Duncan in that final meaningless regular season game against Denver and Duncan gone down with an injury, people would be calling for Pop's head on a platter.
You're damned if you do and damned if you don't.
How long have you guys been coaching? Don't tell me how to run my team.
I'm not saying all that, but Vaugnn definately scares me when he has the ball on offense. Don't get me wrond he's a good defender, but when Parker goes to the bench I kind of take short gasp when it comes to him on the offensive end.
