Ha, I agree with SpursDynasty. It's a cold day in .
All of a sudden, a bunch of Spurs fans on here are coming out with "Don't worry guys, your team will pull out this series". It's Game 3 of the playoffs already. Dallas had the regular season to say "Oh they're just getting some lucky victories".
Dallas is down 1-2 already in the playoffs. That's halfway to elimination.
I also would like to see a Spurs-Dallas WCF, but beating Dallas isn't necessary for the Spurs to prove anything. Spurs can go through Denver, Phoenix, and Houston or Utah, then Detroit. That counts as a championship to me.
Good job tonite GS.

Because a lot of us would show faith in the Spurs if they fell behind 1-2 to the Nuggets.
I fear karma, if 1-2 can happen to the Mavs it can happen to the Spurs
So, no more posting in the Stanley cup thread ? by the way, time to update your avatar![]()
We can't relate the two series to each other.
Unless there is a DRASTIC turnaround, both Finals participants from last year will be eliminated in the first round. Has that happened before?
Turco was not the reason we lost. If anything, that series proved his true talent will shine next season, check his shut-outs against Vancouver. We had no offense, at all! Anyway back to topic of Mavs.![]()
Eh, cuz we're still waiting for our team to go up against the Denver Nuggets tomorrow and take the series advantage at 2-1, (hopefully with the help of Manu going ape on them.)
It's called empathy, and not being too y as fans, I suppose.
Its cause Dallas=choke city
Nothing against Turco ; he was awesome
I was going for GS at first, they're the hometown team. But these ing bandwagoners pissed me off and talked all this how GS is the best team ever and they'll take anybody. I tried talking some basketball sense, but they didn't wanna listen. It made me mad that they'd start fights over GS, a team that no one in my area mentioned up until now. I also bet like 3 people GS would lose to Mavs. That's a safe bet right? I hope. Also, I would want the Spurs to play the Mavs in the PO's. I want the Spurs to get revenge and beat down the Mavs not the Warriors.
True to that, fortunate on one hand terrible on the others!
I hope Denver won't "GoldenState" us tomorrow ; man, that MIP trophy presentation have boosted the Warriors, and tomorrow, there will be the "DPOY" trophy presentation
Because, I, like many Spurs fans, want a Spurs vs. Mavs conference finals. Spurs will whoop some ass with a healthy Duncan/Manu.
Some of the Spurs fans here have more faith in the Mavs than I do at this point.I'm a bad fan.
If beast Manu shows up, Nuggets have no chance (0 percent, nada, none, impossible, zilch). If Manu shows up, it's a 50-50 game (depending on the other 2 stars).
Well Avery will figure out a way to force GS out of the paint. Then GS will start taking stupid, bad outside shots (like the ones Kobe takes, but Kobe has more talent than any of them) ....
That can go one of two ways. Duncan/Bowen could "Hakeem" Camby.
Golden State just matches up better.
As long as we play 3 on 2, we'll be pretty good in getting our wins down. And we keep getting that hustle and energy from guys like Vaughn, Horry, and Oberto. We're not gonna get manhandled like Dallas.
Plus, we've yet to see at least two of the Big three play great games.
oh yeah, this too!![]()
THE REAL REASON we support Dallas : you know what they say, people have a tendancy to root for the underdog![]()
Because all dallas has to do is win on sunday and have the series tied and then go back home and be up 3-2.
Why is that so hard for ya'll to think this will happen?
Because people love to overreact.
Because *all* they have to do is go into that rough Golden State crowd, a hungry young team that has had their number for years in a series where they haven't looked in sync or coordinated sans the second half of a Golden State meltdown in game 2? They have to win there, and after the game tonight will that even be possible? Warriors have the confidence, the poise, the iness, the fan support, and most importantly: the match-up that beats the Mavericks on a constant basis.
People love to think it's a fluke that Dallas can't seem to figure out Golden State, when in reality it's just how it works. Better teams just don't win all the time, and last I checked Miami won against a choking Mavs team, which is exactly what the team is doing now.
Why so much faith in post-season Mavericks against a team they have yet to prove anything against? Mavs can pull it off but it's not like it's so obvious as day to night, there's a ton of reasons as of how or why they can't, or won't pull it off.
