Who all went to Oyster Bake? I went on Saturday and it was my first time going there, I really loved it. I went mainly to see Army of Anyone but the whole experience was a pleasant surprise. Did anyone else go to that concert? I was at the very front!! Also has anyone been able to enjoy Fiesta this week? Seemed like the weather was bad for a while, then my co-workers could never agree on a good time to go. We didn't get half the day off today eitherI was hoping to be able to see the Battle of the Flowers parade.
When does Fiesta end???

Too many damn mexicans at the carnival acting like second rate s. they be fighting and . damn vatos ruining it for the families
I did notice it get rowdy at night time... people throwing beer bottles on the stage, and also as i was walking out, people throwing up on the streets....![]()
I'm sorry.
Sounds like fun.
it was fun until that part...
The Truth I didn't know you were a drunk college chick. mainly that's what i saw throwing up lol
oh i found some pics that i guess were taken from the stage. you can see me there and how close I was
it was a blast but I came out swith beer all over me (people throwing beer on others) and a bruised arm from being pushed against that barracade when Army of Anyone came out![]()
What the is Army of Anyone?
the lead singer of Filter, the guitarist and bassist from Stone Temple Pilots and drummer Ray Luzier. Formed together to make Army of Anyone. they played a Filter and STP song.. it was really cool
He's talking about the carnival downtown on the southwest end of downtown not Oyster Bake.
The carnival downtown after night fall is pretty much crap.
I work right off of S. Main and Durango and it was crazy all week. I'll be glad when this is over.
If you mean Tuesday night after NIOSA, that was one of my coworkers. She also got a few people on the bus back to the Park & Ride.
The last Oyster Bake I went to was when Tonic was there ...
Does anyone remember when "Passing Strangers" or "Sun-Day" would play at La Semana or the Market? Man, how the years slip away...![]()
I waited for HOURS to be right in front at the Triumph/REO Speedwagon concert. I miss La Semana.![]()
too bad we couldn't have had a Spurstalk Fiesta GTG![]()
The last time I went to Oyester bake was when Fastball played.
We worked a little more than half day...we got to watch the Battle of Flowers Parade as it went by since I work at Broadway and 8th (and we had a BBQ in the parking lot)
I am standing in line for a turkey leg at NIOSA as we speak, and it's pretty damn crowded. But i loves me some turkey leg, so it's worth it.
I think i saw you guys...lol
I'm hitting up King William tomorrow and then flying out to Vegas at night baby!
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh yes la semana....how sweet the times were back then....talk about rowdy....all those old school bads and crowds of drunks in the 90's
i waited 10 mins last night for one....well actually two cause i changed my mind as i waited....just watch out for that dude wearin ties on his head....................
and i heard the king william joint was for gay spirit type thing.....never knew that till last night
dont think i ever heard of it till last night actually
but now that i think of it thats prolly why youre leavin to vegas the next day
i so hate oyster bake for so many reasons.
but...
it helps with scholarships at my alma mater so welcome to our little campus once a year.
oh and NIOSA was nuts tonight. seemed more crowded than usual.
yes it was crowded, I usually go on fridays because it is less crowded. But I think since the weather was ty during the first part of the week, people came out last night to make up for it.
