No other team has won 51 of 56 games at any point in a season, whether in the NBA, MLB, or NHL...
Of course it means nothing, but it's still pretty damn cool...

Yes leonard it is very impressive.
Damn, that's impressive, but that kind of stat can be a double edged sword. If they win it all that's the kind of thing that can be used to argue that this team is among the all time greats. And if they don't win it all that's a shadow that's going to be held over this team's head for a long time by their critics. Lots of good storylines developing for the postseason, at in the West.
Oh yeah. The mavs are the 2006-07 Regular Season Champions. Maybe the greatest regular season team of all-time.
Definitely...if the Mavs f up this year...damn...it'll be rough for the players and fans...

All this BS talk is gonna make it hurt that much worse IF the Mavs don't win the whole damn thing.
Just take these wins and enjoy them for what they are. Practice for the playoffs. No need to come to another teams board and throw it in their faces. Just pepetuates the animosity.

i wouldnt say it means nothing.
its not an nba championship, but it does show you something when a team acheives that kind of greatness over a long stretch covering a majority of the whole season.
ask the raptors/nets/magic/cavs/anyone else if they would consider winning 51/56 meaningless.
The Mavs have done superbly in the Regular season so far this year. Right now, I'd say that only San Antonio and Phoenix can even barely compete with them. But the Mavs have off-nights like other teams so they can be beaten.
That is a pretty big accomplishment, though.
If you want to crown them, go ahead and crown their asses.

This is dead on. Nothing short of a le will validate Dallas' season. Just ask Detroit what running roughshod over everybody in the regular season means come June.
