THEY KILLED PRESIDENT PALMER?!? And Mic e?!? If Tony dies, I don't think I'll ever watch it again...he's the most attractive character on the show.

I actually kind of like how they've handled it. I was at a loss for how they were going to go about bringing Jack back into it when he was supposed to be dead...and I'm definately already into this season after just two hours.

Yes he is. They are meant for each other.
That's the idea of the show - because nobody saw it coming. And this is actually Jack's first time being an 'outlaw' because this is the first episode where CTU is against him. It can't be old yet.
