Yeah I was a little disapointed with it..do you have 2k7?
I have nba live 07 and i do think it sucks ass...but i still play it daily.
After taking the spurs and running a dynasty for 4 years, i decided to start a new dynasty with the Bobcats. (lots of capspace)
First year i went to the playoffs and was out in rnd 1.

2k7 owns live.
I am thinking about trading in live for 2k7.....would it be worth it for me?

I own both 2k7 and Live, but the lay-ups in 2k7 are frickin' horrible.

I Can't stand it how on live there are times you go up for a wide open dunk, and the player will flail out as if they got hit or something and the ball just bounces out of the hands...That and the ridiculous ammounts of missed wide open layups/dunks
I hate the ridiculous jumpshot graphics, if you try and take a jumpshot near the hoop the ball flys straight up, rather than actually to the hoop. When you are within 10 feet of the hoop, the graphic is just ridiculous.
I hate when you make a move to drive to the hoop, if any player gets in the remote vacinity of you, the player bounces back and stumbles...
i think i may go trade it in...never thought about that...

The whole way the game flows is better. There are a lot of the same moves twords the basket (layups/dunks) but the finishing execution is unique all the time.
I really think the reply value of the game is high because each game takes a life of its own and its truely different everytime much much much less repetative than any other sports game I've played. Each new team defends you a different way and your success is dependant on how you execute you game plan. Subbing players on the fly is nice.
Setting up practice is crucial to the success of your team as you go through a season. I notice major differences in how my players play depending on how I practice them.
The fluid movement of each independant player is smooth and comfortable once you settle into the controls of the game.....which in all honesty does take a while. The post gameplay is superior to any basketball game I've ever played.
I have one complaint. They don't raise the salary cap enough season to season in relation to the pay raises your players get from year to year. I clear out cap space and sign players for less money but I'll still end up over the cap.
Even though it took me two nights to get all with it as far as the controls go I noticed how much better the game was almost right away. Its really not even close. I would make the correlation of Kia to BMW.

I don't know. I played Live and 2K7 on Xbox and the first one on PC and I have to say that the superior graphics (on Xbox) doesn't matter. The Gameplay of both is crap although Live has more glitches than 2K7. For PC Live 07 is great because there's the ability to mod. With a few adjustments Live 07 for the PC is way better than 2K7. On the Xbox I'd take 2K7 over Live.
I have a hard time taking you seriously when you say the gameplay is crap.....did you mean on the CPU or XBOX? The gameplay on 2k7 is the best we've ever had on a basketball sim. I don't even think its close or debatable.
With that being said I have been a loyal Live fan for years and turned this year because it had gotten to the point that it was just that bad.
OK i have 2k7 now.......ANY CAVS FANS have it wanna play so you can see what a ass whooping SA style is going to feel like.
