    Today on XM, they had the archives of the NBC reporting on the D-Day invasion running in "real time" on one of their stations.

    It was interesting on what they didn't know at the time and what they evidently did but didn't tell.

    Pretty cool nonetheless.

    I would have loved to listen to that, hopefully, they'll rebroadcast it.

    Some of the things they said the allies did to the press (i.e. calling them to a base and then holding them for a couple of days to either check for leaks or post a feint) I can't imagine the storm that would cause today. Also, some of the eyewitness accounts were pretty riveting as well.

    And the musical interludes (Dorsey Brothers, Glenn Miller, Dinah Shore, Andrews Sisters) weren't bad either.
