Ok...so Amazon had a promotion where they randomly selected customers to buy new game consoles that are otherwise sold out. I voted to try and get the Nintendo Wii, which I happened to be lucky enough to be selected for.
So I get the system for the retail price of 249.99.
I call my g/f to let her know and I figure out...mainly because of her tone, that she already GOT me a Wii, but paid like 600 bucks for it from some random seller, who I'm sure will not take it back.
Now she sounds very, very sad but I had NO idea she was getting it. It just kind of happened this way and I was not necessarily going to keep it, maybe just flip it for more money.
I feel like I ruined Christmas for her, cause she was so excited about it. Blah.
Any suggestions on how to make her feel better and or what to do with the extra one in a way where I can get the most money?

That's one big reason why I don't go Christmas shopping until the very last minute ... there was a game I was going to get User for Christmas, and he just bought it himself. I was all excited because I typically don't know about things like that, but happened to be paying extra-close attention the last time we went to Best Buy and he was drooling all over it. Now I'm back to not knowing .
