with that said, by Longhorn standards this season ended with disappointment. The Anteaters beat Texas at their own game of small ball and Garrido's overuse of the bully over the weekend has been well chronicled, not to mention the losses of Preston Clark and Nick Peoples to injuries which hurt.
I'll admit that UT's run of two national championships, a 3rd place finish and a runner-up finish in the CWS from 2002-2005 has spoiled us to the point that winning the Big 12 le this year but not reaching Omaha is considered a failure.
And with 6 nat'l championships just in baseball alone, UT has a pretty decent track record of getting it done when it counts...but not this year.

It's aggy remember, all that matters is that they beat Texas. That is why they say they ended the season with a win against Texas in football, they just forget the ass whooping in the bowl game.

That might be the tiest comeback I have ever read. You might win again if McCoy is playing at %60. And 12-7 is hardly an ass beating, it was nice to see a&m finally beat Texas this century though and secure fran for another 3 years. I am sorry that aggy gauges their success on whether or not Texas wins or loses, it's sad really. Even with 2 upsets at the end of the season Texas still had ANOTHER 10 win season in football. See aggy, that is how you base if you had a good season, not on beating your daddy in one game and calling it a success.
I wonder how that will help our BCS standing later in the year...
1. i don't know how A&M fans gauge their season, but i don't deem it a success just b/c we beat t.u.

tough losses. i didn't even get to see but 1 inning as i was in Jackson Hole playing in a rugby tournament. bummer...
