Lets sign that chick!
i didnt know Bennett owned part of the spurs back in he 90s
It appears that PJ isn't Presti's first choice but that he is Bennett's first choice.
Good luck to him, whatever happens.
If a team picks Casey over PJ for the second time, that's gotta suck for PJ.
I remember reading somewhere that Presti and PJ arent close and haven't had much of an association during Presti's time with the Spurs.
Will the Sonics try to sign Sprewell too? That would be sweet.
Carlesimo---a Pop protege----hired to replace Bob Hill---once fired by Pop.
Now that's some irony.
The Sports Gods at work!
I hope he gets it too. Its been far too long for PJ.
Casey sucks. Vote for PJ![]()
Doesnt it seem like Pop is doing the exact same thing as larry brown and dean smith?
He is creating this elaborate family on other teams that share his philosophy?
Was Larry Brown anywhere long enough to create a family?
He is so much more qualified than several recent hires, end of discussion good luck in Latte Land!
I'm guessing that PJ gets it unless LB comes out of retirement. I've got a good feeling about this.
Casey did a great job with the Twolves, then got screwed over.
Perhaps Mike Bud will be getting a promotion soon.
Dammit I wanted him for the Kings.I'll be pissed if him and Iavaroni do a great job and we suck

Yeah, I have to wonder what Pop's move is if both P.J. and Don Newman head to Seattle. Obviously, Pop has been able to turn over his coaching staff fairly effectively during his tenure as head coach -- from Egan and Pressey, through Mike Brown, Mario Elie, P.J., Newman, and others. One would think that Budenholzer might be ready to move into the 2nd seat after 11 seasons down the bench. But maybe Pop will bring in another beleagued former head coach and keep Mike Bud in that 3rd position for another year or two. We'll see, I guess.

Jeff Van Gundy! Could you imagine the defense with both of those guys on the same bench ...
It's very likely that PJ is the person who knows more about Pop coaching techniques than anyone else in the league. The fact Spurs fans believe and hope he gets the job speaks volumes about them.
If you were selfish, you wouldn't want PJ to ever leave the spurs because the team he coaches would know a lot of details and insights that could be bad for the spurs if they were ever to play against each other.
Having said all of that, I think he deserves a head coaching job.
geez the entire spurs organization is selling like hotcakes right now... i bet even the spurs ballboys are in demand from other teams
Shoog could you have picked a less erotic picture of the man, geeze

pj IS NOT GOING TO GET THIS j o b.
bet big $ on it.
Man, I would really hate to lose PJ, but after all he's done for this team I have to wish him the best and hope he gets this head coaching gig that he truly deserves.
