I agree only in part.

Anybody can learn the functions and understand what they do - I'm a prime example of that so I can play with the software and modify existing pics into stuff, or create graphics for web pages, videaos and similar stuff.

But if you look at the link in my previous post that's drawing plain and simple. The guy is actuallly doing it on a single layer (using a wacom tablet). He's drawing stuff pretty much like if he was using charcoal and smearing it with his fingers - and that part not eveybody can learn, it's a God given talent like the ability to write music.
