= I was on Craig's list looking for a part to a Snapper riding mower when I saw this section that read GIGS. Apparently you can audition for movies or find cool jobs in your area. I put an ad looking for a Ghost writer for two children's books I need written. Now my phone keeps ringing but before I answer it do these people want $money$ up front? Has anyone here used a Ghost Writer?

I've never used a Ghost Writer, but I published a piece using a pseudonym.

Since there are at least 5 books collecting dust, I was looking for someone to write the book as though they are the original Aurthur. They can keep any cash or fame. I just don't want my books sitting here. Just knowing they are being read is enough payment for me. So does this pseudonym help in that area?

I think the real question here is has Ghostwriter ever used a mouse?
I get you on the spelling thing ("aurthor" is "author").
But, the whole pseudonym is a name you use other than your own so people won't know it's you whose writing the material in question.
Stephen King had great success with his pseudonym, Richard Bachman. Some of the books he wrote as Richard Bachman, which he wrote and published before he became a big time author, are my favorites.

Cash is not the motive. I just don't like having kids in school go without some good, fun, reading. I would hate to have gone to school at not know who Dr Seuss was. It's just a dam shame I have to pay 30,000.00 dollars to get a Ghost writer for a children's book but If I want to send in a Porn story to Penthouse it would be in stores by the end of the month for free.
I'd like to be a ghost writer for a hobby. No cash needed if you want to write because you love to write, not because you have to put food on the table.
If you have 5 books written and you have 4 kids would you write the 6th book and let them starve? or would you sell book #5 and feed your family?
No, I would just keep my day job so the kids wont starve.
If you have a day job then your not a full time writer and the question does not effect you. Do you like your job? Mine sucks. Since I have started working my writing skills have sucked to the point where I can only write about fiction.
I have a cool book 1/4 way done about a man who travels back in time and forgets his laptop in the year 1812. It effects the world in ways you can only imagine.
I'm just saying, I love to write so much, that i wouldn't do it as a full-time job. That would ruin it for me.
