You want a mexican comedian? Pablo Francisco and George Lopez are the way to go.
He's not taking money out of your pocket and he makes people laugh. Comedians steal each others material all the time. What might not be funny coming from the guy who originated it might be freaking hilarious coming from someone else. Geeze, it's s'posed to make you laugh, not get you angry and pissed off. Relax and just enjoy it for what it is, comedy.

I do think he's funny. The skit was meant to be funny, and it is funny in and of itself.
But if I were to go on national television and do a hilarious Rick James skit, people would not take kindly to it.
I'm pissed because I work in the comedy field here in Chicago and it's a constant battle with yourself and Thousands of other people. And for someone to take a shortcut and borrow (aka steal) someone else's creative work just sucks.
Well, the mindfreak/david blaine spoof was not necessarily a ripoff. I've never seen mindfreak so i don't know if he does the same "street magic", blaine does. If so than that could be just as much a ripoff as the spoof is of the other.
But the real ripoff is the cosby link. I know it is a simple observational joke and these two are probably not the first to do it but it is pretty incriminating. You would think, a comedian who actually studies the art would do their best not to repeat the same material as one of the industry icons. I guess he figures, people would think he is not stupid enough to steal from such a well known comedian that they would chalk it up to mere coincidence.

I've heard the same thing too, that comedians steal jokes all the time from each other I just don't know of any examples, so I don't get as pissed off as I used to

Mencia is a in hack. None of his is funny, and even funny he rips off to try and be funny, is not funny when he does it.

His show is still kinda funny. I don't give a if he steals jokes or what not. Everyone does it. I don't give a what other comedians say. They all do it.

Carlos Mencia isn't funny he's just re ed. Good thing for him he has a few writers on that show or it would of been canceled a long time ago.
Mencia sucks and I guess if you worked in the comedy field you'd understand.
