some one has to bring donuts when beno goes to play with that great fellow they call james
Does it mean the Spurs will keep him?
TARRYTOWN, NY - JULY 27: Marcus Williams of the San Antonio Spurs poses for a portrait during the 2007 NBA Rookie Photo Shoot on July 27, 2007 at the MSG Training Facility in Tarrytown, New York.

They'll keep him without a doubt.
He's dirt cheap, plays like he cares on defense and shows some ability in that respect, has played just 9 or 10 games, is 20yrs old, and was taken at the top of the second round.
Yes, he was crap for the most part in the summer league...but I doubt they let him go when considering all that listed above.
Bottom Line: Marcus Williams WILL be a Spur in 2007-08 (though most of it will be spent in Austin).
Williams staying with Spurs next year will highly depend if his agent can get a guaranteed contract from Spurs.
If Williams contract isn't guaranteed, he will have to fight for a roster spot/money during the training camp and during the regular season until January 10th when non guaranteed contracts become guaranteed for the rest of the season.
There are two other pictures on gettyimages. Go to sports, type in his name or san antonio spurs.
That just means Marcus Williams was at the rookie orientation. Doesn't mean much, seeing as anyone with any hopes of playing in the NBA has to go at some point.
That's a good picture. I hope he stays.
