Special agents of the conservative movement had a secret meeting with the leader of the free world recently, on the first of this month. They were asked not to disclose the nature of their travel plans until after the fact, and told they could not directly quote the president. These special agents are, Bill Bennett, Neal Boortz, Scott Hennon, Laura Ingraham, Lars Larson, Mark Levin, Hugh Hewitt, Michael Medved, Glenn Beck, and Janet Parshall.

I heard about this on Fridays broadcast of Neal Boortz’s show. He is probably the only libertarian among the hosts invited. A few articles I could find:

An Oval Office Meeting with President Bush, by Scott Hennen

An Inappropriate Meeting with the President?, by Michael Medved

NO .. I DIDN'T GO PLAY AUGUSTA, by Neal Boortz

    Glenn Visits the White House

White House soiree: Boortz, Hannity, Gallagher, Medved and Ingraham were reportedly invited to meet with Bush in the Oval Office

White House soirée, part deux: Beck, Bennett, Ingraham, Medved, and others met with Bush

Now these last two are really out there. It appears it is a leftist site. It has several clips of the people invited. They portray a different impression than I get when I watch the clips. I thought I would include this last link as spineless candy for you leftists. Also, the first of the two are about a year old.

    P.S.

Special agents is a bit of humor. Don't take me serious on that part.

The talk radio crowd is Bush's base. There is no surprise that he wants the message to get out and not get filtered through the evil msm..

Laura Ingraham and Bill Bennett are the only good ones out of that group. Hugh Hewitt, Medved, and Beck are just annoying to me, and the rest I've never heard of.

the little band of corrupt, incompetent loser cowboys circle the wagons as disaster and pullout looms bigger every month.

These "preachers", including O'Hanlon and Pollack, really think anybody outside of their dumb right wing nutcase choir listens to them?

O'Hanlon and Pollack were willingly jobbed by the US military showing them a few positives, while Iraq continues to go up in flames and disintegrate into a pile of ashes.

Iraq is lost and public opinion is overwhelminglhy anti-war because of MSM is not getting out all the wonderful news?

dubya and head broke and lost Iraq, and they, their preachers, and devoted choir can't win back Iraq in the media. The media war and public opinion were lost long ago.

ing incredibly precise and loud echoes of VN war fiasco.

dubya will keep the US military fatally bogged down in the Iraqi quagmire until dubya is out of office.

The US brass has said repeatedly that their military will "break" next April at the current troop levels.

Where are all the red-state super-patriots not signing for those multi-$10K enlistment bonuses when dubya needs so many youngsters to waste in Iraq? Maybe the super-patriots are the mercenaries signing on with private contractors for much higher salaries and green zone hotel accommodations while in Iraq?

I guess you could say that the overall point I'm trying to make is that I like some radio hosts but not others. I can see why you're confused, it is a very complex idea.

Maybe because this thread wasn't about how you feel about radio hosts. I thought you were trying to make a pertinent point, germane to the conversation...my bad.

the talk show person i like the best is savage. i don't necessarily agree with him but he's honest. he never takes quotes out of context (whannity, limp ,gallagher) and his positions never waver and are rock solid. limpballs and the others mentioned always shape their positions around whatever is going on that day. Another reason i like savage is he sees what a disater bush has been in iraq and he let's the bushbots have it when they call in..

I've been listening to Lars Larson for some time, since he is a local host here in Portland, Oregon. He just recently made the national scene. I've met him a couple time. He is a pretty solid conservative on most issues. He is too supportive of law enforcement, and if hard-headed. He will maintain a poor position if he believes it, and evidence doesn't change his mind very often. This is rare, but I've seen it happen.

Neal Boortz is a libertarian He has a pretty good sense of humor and is very flexible. He doesn't stick with an opinion is shown he is wrong. He is the co-author of "The Fair Tax" and has another great book out called "Somebody Had to Day It." I have both these books.

I'm sorry if you really believe that.

My instinct tells me that the president banded together the prominent talk show hosts to find out what the American conservatives want and why we are so pissed at him! From what I heard now from those I listen to, I get the sense that happened. I get the sense that things like the perception of the war and immigration were talked about.

What ever you want to imply happened, it cannot be a bad thing. Those of us who have talked to one or more of these hosts have had an indirect impact of the president.

What kind of impact? He's not interested in opinion that questions his judgement. He's made that very clear. What has happened to any staffer that voiced an opposing view? That's not an atmosphere that nutures any original thought, even if they had one. Others in this cabinet might have ideas, but are afraid to speak. It would be the last thing they said as a staff member.

I'm the crazy one? He doesn't accept any differing opinion, and then gives you the boot for making one. He will listen to any suggestions that could slap another coat of paint on this ugly pig he created, but that's it. A never ending flow of excuses, a constant change in goals and perspectives. It's nothing but a stall. The goal is to lay blame around 2009. Don't worry, you settle in nicely with the flock.

OK, who said what? Have any links available that prove your point?

I'll bet what you are referring to is advice offered and not taken. Nothing more. There is a difference between that, and not listening.

President Bush listens, then decides. You are making it out as if he doesn't listen because he doesn't take some peoples advice into action! These people may be bitter because president Bush didn't like their ideas.

Wouldn't he be a schizophrenic president if he took everyone’s advice into action?

Come on... Use some common sense please...

Wouldn't someone who has failed miserably on the war on terror think any direction away from the toilet might be a sign of "common sense"? Is it "common sense" to alienate countries that were sobered by the events of 9-11? His actions have leveled the integrity of our country to the level of our enemies. I'm sure they fear our next move, just like they fear al-Qeada's next move. Musharaf was told to be our friend or he's a dead man. Exactly what kind of relationship is built on that kind of foundation? What would help? If we had a Sec. of State, a real one that isn't shackled by their pres., we might be able to salvage some respect, because that has been a casualty of this war built on collusion.

How can you be sich a lemming? This is all out of the democrat playbook and main scream media. If you look up the facts behind each item you mention, you'll see it is all based upon the propaganda from the left.

Why are you changing subjects? Can't provide any valid discourse to my points?
