are you posting from the chair?![]()
If started 30 minutes ago, am I looking at another hour or two? Longer? Shorter?
Thanks.

takes like 45 mins to an hour....
Yes. This crap is boring.
Depends. At least an hour.
Absolutly one of the worst medical experiences of my life. I've had 2, the first one I was stupid enough to let a general dentist do it. It was horrific. The second one I got smarter and had a root canal guy do it, that was much easier. Still, not something I would ever volunteer to do!
I hope whoever you're waiting for has an easy time.
You Serious? You Mad?
no im serious... had a root canal done last year
My sister had a pediatric specialist do it because it was so complex (she was like 14 at the time) sucked like a mofo.
Brush, Floss, Rinse timvp. That's your only remedy.
just get it pulled foo, much quicker. else brush you teef now on.
you will have to have a temporary crown put on for a couple days and will have to go back to the dentist in a week or so to get the permanent one put in.
About 600.00 dollars long. Or that is what it cost me.
I think the thing that got to me was I had to go back to
my regular dentist to get the filling put in. He didn't fill
teeth, he was a dental surgeon.........I am not kidding.
mine took about 1.5 hrs.
somee people just have bad tooth genes or some ed up chit.
I brush, floss and rinse 2x a day. I even got the ADA approved scuba toothbrush, i had all those expensie sealents put on my teeth as a kid... and my is still ed.
I have 20+ cavities that I keep having to be refilled every 5-10 years, 1 root canal done, 2 to go and 2 impacted wisdome teeth.
some people are just dealt a ty hand in the tooth department LJ, I'm sure you do brush your teeth dude.
LJ wasn't having a root canal. I was.
He's never even had a cavity.
That's true. I have had problems with my teeth almost since I was born. It pisses me off.
So how long did it take?
They could only do part of it today because they couldn't find the 3rd canal. But about 90 minutes.
Ouch! Feel better, Kori.![]()
if they put you out just pray that when you wake up and look around that the dentist isn't zipping up his pants.
No doubt. Hopefully you got some quality pills in the meantime!![]()
No, I turned down the pain prescription.
Did they say you can put an ice pack on your jaw to help with the pain? I remember it helping after the novicaine wore off.
Kori, why did you not PM me this question????
You have asked people who have just given you all wrong answers and bad advice. I could have answered you question quite easily and truthfully.
1. A molar procedure like the one you are having done takes an hour and a half in my chair(some dentists are slower, like yours, I see)
2. They painless, when the patient is covered with an antibiotc regimen before the procdure.
3. Having an endodontist(specialist) do the procedure makes no difference in any pain you might have compared to a general dentist, provided that you are covered by antibiotics, so the above advice is WRONG.
4. Make sure you get a crown done on the tooth within a month or 2, or you can break the tooth, rendering all this treatment worthless.
damn what a badass
BIG mistake.
