I lived in Baton Rouge in the early 90's and I could not believe the amount of racism that still goes on in Louisiana. One day at work a coworker who was in her 20's at the time and was a new mom told me the worst thing they ever did was outlaw slavery because she could use a couple slaves right then. I was speechless.
Racism will always be a part of society, especially in the south. But I guess there is no need to state what everyone already knows.
Sad....really ing sad. Yes, thow the book at him for fighting...quick fine and be done with it. But damn....22 years, damn rapists and child molesters get off with way less...well unless it's a black child molester.
Half of the racism in this country exists in the South.
