Nose Rings on Women

Well, over the last year or maybe two, I have noticed an increase of nose and facial jewelry on women. I'm a little older but not too much and I'm just wondering what the fascination is? Is it one of those fads that will make these women look back like crimped hair does now?

Personally, I think it makes them look like gypsies.
