the spurs do not need another veteran leader?? and play him above michael finley?? i dont think so.....and he thinks defense is a key to a championship...reggie miller doesnt cant play defense...high risk, low reward
Yes, he's old, but I bet he can still play and it would be a win-win situation because he has a strong desire and the Spurs need a veteran leader. You know he's not out of shape and Reggie would still hit a 50% clip on the Spurs. He really likes Pop and I think he believes defense is key to winning championship.
When everything breaks down and the Spurs have nothing to show for the offseason headed into training camp, why not inquire about his services for the veteran minimum?
Low risk, high reward.

I agree. Those young players like Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, Robert Horry, Fabricio Oberto, Michael Finley, Brent Barry, Jacque Vaughn and Bruce Bowen. Clearly they need a veteran presence to calm them down.
Fine with me but I don't think he would come out of retirement.
He's 42 in a month.
Next.
As color play by play of the Silver Spurs.
Or....you could go find Tyrone Nesby.

I'd rather see them make a run at Devin Brown if they need another swingman.
The Spurs could put Reggie on IR and all year they can try to "Win it for Reggie!".
I heard Larry Bird is a free agent
I didn't know he was 42 - thought he was late 30s. Still, I can think of worse 12th men.
he is reggie miller...he doesnt want to jump on the bandwagon to win a ring...especially being the 12th man..which means he really did nothing to win the championship...it would only tarnish him through the eyes of the pacers..and thats all he cares about..best pacer to ever live..he has to live with that
Dude can't play a lick of defense... next
Like we don't already have enough creaky three-point specialists? Brilliant.
Or..Popeye Jones
NO.
Miller would ruin the chemistry. But if he was begging for a chance to have a ring with this team along with a very small contract, then why not.
How about no risk, no reward?
for someone who was out-matured by Kobe Bryant in the 2000 Finals.
next.
Screw it....bring back Ice!
