Some questions about Ruidosa

Going to Ruidosa in a few days with my best friend. Any suggestions on good places to eat , drink , and have fun ?????????

Of course, we're going to hit the casinos, and I know the races ended last weekend , but just wondering if anyone here has been, and what fun things did you do?

Ive been to ruidoso a few times during the ski season, so im not really sure what there is to do in the summer besides the casinos. Maybe hiking or backpacking? I know they have quite a few trails around the city that you can go out on. One nice thing is its usually nice and cool all through the summer.

If you're driving, make sure you don't try to to arrive in the morning.

Never been to Ruidoso, but if you happen to find any Carrizozo Cherry or Apple Cider, I highly recommend it. A little slice of New Mexico heaven in a bottle.
