Is Lebron really not among the choices?
I was going to say
Yahoo! fantasy rankings every year has either shawn marion or Kevin Garnett as #1 followed by lebron james.
Must be a glitch.
Let me double check. There were eight choices a minute ago.![]()
It seems to be working fine for me. Refresh and see if you get more options. There should be 8 (including the someone else).
Duncan on the list but NOT Nash!?![]()
I always rank Marion #1. He rounds out all the stats nicely. KG might score a little less this season since his team has other weapons.
Goes to show the difference btw real basketball and fantasy b-ball. Name one NBA front office who would take Marion as one of the top five players in the league.
Side note: AK47 was beautiful in filling up stats. Too bad he sucks now.
Kobe
Duncan was just a token choice added for the Spurs fans who vote for Duncan for everything.
I admit that I see Duncan through rose colored glasses but...
I'd still pick him over any of the other choices.
I considered LeBron long and hard. His game is great and I think he'll get even better. But even with Duncan getting older I think he still has the best all around game of anyone listed.
Kobe is fantastic, but not quite the defender Duncan is.
Dirk isn't in my conversation, he just hasn't shown me that he can come through consistently when it matters.
Marion and Garnett also aren't the complete player that Duncan is, though I love Garnett's game, especially his passion.
Wade, like Lebron, has a great game that I think will get even better. But when talking about number one, I start with Duncan. Then build around the big man.
Besides, of the whole list, Duncan is the most proven winner.![]()
That's all fine and good for real life. But Duncan isn't even close to several of those other players for fantasy numbers. Marion, Garnett, Kobe and Dirk are top choices for fantasy - with Marion normally being considered the best.
LeBron is normally fifth or sixth in most fantasy player rankings.
Helps if I read and understand the question, doesn't it?

Spaced "Fantasy" right out of my mind. That only proves I can't mul ask. Nor can I walk and chew gum at the same time but that's another story...
As they say...never mind!![]()
Just in case anyone is curious, these are Yahoo.com's rankings for 2007-08.
Kevin Garnett
Kobe Bryant
Shawn Marion
Dirk Nowitzki
LeBron James
Steve Nash
Dwyane Wade
Gilbert Arenas
Jason Kidd
Amare Stoudemire
You mean like me???
why in the would he be
Hi Kyle!
Welcome to the forum.
Wait, is this a one-season poll or a keeper league?
It has to be Kobe.
Since he IS the Laker offense, you know he'll put up great fantasy numbers. Plus, he's gonna want to shine bright this season for all the future Free Agent suitors.
And, he's gonna have like 50 games where he scores like 80 points and that will put your fantasy numbers over the top.
lebron NO DOUBT.
He can be unselfish when put with good teammates. H will be a great player.
Nevermind. Fantasy as in fantasy league?![]()
You'd take Luis Scola...oops I forgot he's already taken!!! LMAO
