Wish list:
Desmond Mason/Quitin Ross as Bowen understudy (way too expensive likely)
Araujo/Walton as passing big man.
Antonio McDyess as low post Horry.
The championship was great but it's never too early to think about the offseason!

Wow, this looks like a great year to not get into free agency and just work with the guys who are in our system. The only guy I would want off that list is Milik Rose and that is because he was one of my all time favorite Spurs.
Sorry but Joe Dumars is resigning Dyess.
I'd like the Spurs to land one of those players: Pietrus, Barnes, Nocioni or Gerald Wallace
via trade: Chris Duhon, Brevin Knight
It would be great if the Spurs could trade into a higher pick but I doubt they have the assets. I also think that Fin will be back.
I think it would help everyone if this thread was stickied.
Not his choice.
If devean george opts out of his contract... he would be a nice long SF that knows how to win championships off the bench. He is a hard worker and wouldn't cost too much. Plus it would weaken the mavs which is always nice.
Spurs don't have hardly any roster spots available. I'd prefer it if they drafted some young guys to compliment the older vets already on this roster and then spent their FA dollars in 08...
Gerald Wallace. Imagine the defensive lineup of Parker, Bowen, Wallace, Duncan, whoever else. That would be amazing. And I didn't know he was an unrestricted free agent.
I see a few guys I like:
Mike Wilks
Jason Hart
Malik Rose
Derek Anderson
Devin Brown
Sean Marks
Man if we could get those guys...

Michael Jordan should kill himself if he lets Gerald Wallace get away...
Am I the only one who thinks Mo Pete would be a good addition? Obviously not as good as picking up Luke Walton and Pietrus but if he's around for cheap?
Work the draft and plan for '08. Won't be many changes to the roster as set this offseason, but most probably won't due to the outcome of 2007. Then again, when you go 16-4 in the PO and obliterate everyone and every style of ball in your path it many not be such a bad thing to keep things very similar.
Spurs need to make the personnel changes to defeat Dallas they failed to do last year. Nothing too drastic, but they can't rest on their laurels.
McDeyss would defend Nowitzki perfectly.
I'd throw a significant portion at him.
Pietrus being restricted, maybe to get him it would take trading Barry.
But if I had my druthers I'd rather go after Nocioni and offer up barry, beno, and Scola
Parker - ? - Udrih
Ginobili - Finley - Barry
Bowen - White - ?
Duncan - ? - Horry
Oberto - Elson - Butler
As of now, these are the players under contract for next year (I think).
PG - Maybe Vaughn re-signs for pennies, maybe he goes elsewhere. Will Beno be traded?
SG/Swing - Will Barry be shipped? Where will the other young swingman come from? Draft or FA?
PF - Will Bonner be re-signed and given more minutes?
C - Not great, but solid rotation. Each player is different, offering flexible matchups.
Varejão ... great we could become ... flopperlandia with him
Seriously ...
I'll go with Chapu Nocioni, Scola, Chris Webber (the next Mike Finley).
Danger! Danger!
No former Fab Five guys. They're cursed. In fact, the curse is named after the guy bolded above.
Really Matt Barnes is the only one that intrigues me
we need a back up PG big time. i'd still like to welcome Scola to the group.
Chris Webber is waay to lazy to be successful in our system. I say lets try and get Dyess here.
It probably will be. Just not the day after a Championship. There's more things to be stickied right now.
