I'm gonna sign up for this, does the info get sent to you or someone else?
I was hired by b5media as the sports channel editor, one of the things that I need to do on my first day on the job is hire a bunch of bloggers.
This is a paid position but don't expect the big bucks.
What I'm looking for is someone who really wants to write about sports, is passionate about their topic, and is willing to put in the effort to make the blog grow (which means more money for you).
Here's the advertisment:

If you have any questions prior to applying, please feel free to PM me.
These are the topics that I need bloggers for:
College Football
Fantasy Football
NBA Basketball
College Basketball
Fantasy Basketball
Women's Basketball
NHL Hockey
Golf
Tennis
Poker
Cricket
World Soccer
Fishing
Sports Gambling
I'm gonna sign up for this, does the info get sent to you or someone else?
It gets sent to someone else and then passed on to me.
I'm very interested as well. I'm at work right now, but I'll fill out the information later on tonight.
I'm interested, but, sadly, I don't have enough knowledge about any of those topics to do a decent blog. Le sigh.
For the several people who asked via PM why certain sports aren't listed, it's because there are already some existing sports blogs on the channel.
Paid position? Really? Surely it can't be much at all. Not that it makes a whole lot of difference (I'm interested regardless of pay) but do you have any idea what they offer? I'd probably do it just for fun and for free, but for a little extra cash I'd gladly be extra zealous in the effort.
Yes, of course I have an idea![]()
No baseball? Even minor leaguesI must ponder this ...
Enigmatic.![]()
Oh well, it still matters not. I've taken the worm.
PS: But that "taken by the worm" comment by means indicates my willingness to write a "fishing" blog as they are requesting.
PPS: What exactly is your role in selecting potential bloggers? If these aps get passed along to you from somebody else then it sounds as if you're at least privy to the decision making process (if not heavily involved).
The baseball blog already exists and has a writer.
Minor leagues might eventually happen but not in this set of blogs.
I sent you a private message.
I'm a big part of the decision making process.
Kori's kind of a big deal.![]()
Well, I signed up and wrote a sample blog of a topic that I've wrote before. It's small, but it asked for a sample and that's what it did. If this comes through, it would be a godsend, because I'm jobless and starting college and with this I could focus more on studying, then suiting up and finding a job.
Good luck to everyone applying. I can answer what I can here in this thread and via PM.
Obviously, I can't guarantee anyone that I will select them, or play favorites because you post here. But I do think that a bunch of you are qualified applicants. So please do apply.
Thanks,
Kori
Damn..........I included the fact that I post here and even included my user name hoping it would help.
Hmmmm...the tennis blog is interesting...must ponder this.
Ask for Indianapolis Colts to be made a category and I'll upstage Bill Simmons.
hehehe you would just write about the rangers all the time anyways![]()
Not true. But I knew someone would say that.![]()
Who is gonna take on Cricket?![]()
After looking at that list I'd be able to do: NBA, Poker, World Soccer.
NBA and Fantasy Basketball are the only things I have any extensive knowledge of.
Golf Blog applied for![]()
