    Hi to all! My name is Schmoogins and I'm relatively new to the forum. Just want to say that I am a die-hard Spurs fan from Cali, but currently in the DC area. I've been patrolling this board for a few months now, and I love the insight, intelligent discussions, and of course,the not so intelligent discussions. Some of you are very smart, some are hilarious, and some are just ridiculous but you all add to the appeal of this forum.

    My takes:

    -Finals: (injury-free) Spurs (59-23) will repeat in 08... (4-2 vs. Garnett's boys)

    -Tim: The Greatest, as he goes, we go. End of story.

    -Manu: The second most valuable player on our team

    -Tony: Love his progression, if he unleashes the 3 ball this year he will be as unstoppable as any elite player in the league.

    -everyone else: No complaints (with the exception of one). The old folks will be able to sustain a similar output from last season. I'm excited about Cisco and Bonner improving, and Ime finding himself in our system.

    Beno: I really wish he fought to prove he belonged. I believe in his talent, but he has pissed away his opportunities and needs to be gone. He does not deserve to wear the silver and black.

    Other tidbits: Ian is 2-3 years away from being a solid player. Marcus... maybe. Not sold on him yet, but he comes from a solid program and he has the right at ude, and the physical abilities. I hope he puts the work in and buys into the system. I wish we could've found a way to keep , but I'm sure the FO knows what they are doing. Dallas will be tough to beat again, Houston will be almost as tough under the direction of Adelman. He is a solid coach and highly underestimated. Also, contrary to popular opinion, he has been their most important addition of the offseason.

    This is going to be a special season, and IMO the one with the most to be won since 99. We have the chance to solidify ourselves as a dynasty this season. That is special and something I do not take for granted. Cheers!

    Be aware that there are a number of people on here that still think Dallas and Phoenix are better ballclubs than the Spurs and have a better chance of winning the championship.
