One assist in 70 minutes for Law over those three games. Man, if Parker gets ripped for being a ball hog I wonder how Spurs fans would react to those Yinka Dare-esque numbers out of a supposed point guard.
Last three games he matched up with:
Billups
Kidd
Nash
Welcome to the league.Got the win tonight over Phoenix....

what??? Joe Johnson initiates their offense as of now... eventually Law will take on more. kinda like how Rafer/Tmac do for the rockets.
JJ had 10 assists tonight
I've watched all their games (well, parts of it when it conflicted with the Spurs).
They aren't running the O through Acie, a lot of times he brings it up, throws it to Marvin or one of the Joshes, they go one on one and do their thing, and he doesn't get credit for the assist.
They ran their O through Johnson tonight, and he had a great game, but Acie really hasn't been put in a position to be the playmaker, they've been bringing him along slowly.
Sounds a lot like the Spurs' offense.
P.S.
Seriously though, I've watched some of how the Hawks are running their offense. Johnson and Law are basically splitting the ballhandling duties. But like I said before the draft, I don't see Law as the great playmaker that some made him out to be.
I think Law IV will be a good NBA player, but its going to take a few years. Steve Nash had his way against Law IV tonight.
Agreed. Well before the draft, I was a little afraid that he was going to end up a Piston.
I think a lot of people envisioned Law as a scoring point guard, and not much of a playmaker. He was more known for his clutch shooting than for creating shots for teammates. At any rate, with limited minutes, the offense, and Joe Johnson, it doesn't appear he'll be doing much playmaking anyway.
Forget about Law, Horford is a rebounding monster.
I always expected him to be a scoring point guard. Just never realized the extent to which the wings (Johnson, Williams, Smith, Childress) in Atlanta hog the ball.
