Which Team Deserves Its Own Forum Here?

It's cool that the Pistons and Kings have their own Forum here, but they are slowly creeping away from SpursTalk as the population of Dallas and Phoenix and Houston increases by the day, troll or not. I'm not saying to get rid of the KingsTalk or PistonsTalk, but I feel as though that if they have their own forums, another team is on the horizon of getting their own Forum. Which should it be?

Just felt like I needed to post this just for opinions. Sorry Kori if this is inappropriate.

Detroit was different because the Pistons fans were exceptionally cool when they came here in 05.

The Kingsfans were a case of pity because all the Kings forums suck and are moderated like Castro moderates Cuba.


But giving the Mavs, Suns or Rockets fans a forum? They are like our arch enemies...I don't want to see a forum for them here

Ditto the Jazz and the Lakers.

I don't want to live in harmony with the fans of those teams. There's obviously something wrong with those people, or they wouldn't be fans of those teams. I think they're evil.

The Grizzlies should have their own forum. After all, they could have beat the Spurs easily if they really wanted to. So they deserve respect.

I think that a bunch of renegades without a home or a purpose fending for themselves is a little bit of a romantic way to say a couple of dudes with too much free time who post on an internet forum about the NBA. But whatever floats your boat.

Are you ing ting me?? A Suns sub forum? absolutely no- ing-way! Granted there are a few Suns fans that are cool here... but we're talking two or three, TOPS! the rest are a bunch of crying little girls.

As for the Rockets... well, Rocket fans are here MAINLY because of Scola, if they get a forum here, you can bet we'll never hear the end of that .

Finally, our infamous Dallas friends... put it simply, creating a Mavs subforum on a Spurs fan site is HERESY! and suggesting it BLASPHEMY!

Well, by the "all the other Kings' forums suck" rationale, you could justify branching out into a lot of teams. Several EC teams do not have good/non-censored forums. However, there would be about zero interest in them, except maybe Boston and Cleveland. (I don't actually know if those two teams are adequately represented on these internets or not.)

It seems like the Kings and Pistons were special cases. I don't think you can have other Texas teams on a Spurs board: too much cognitive dissonance.

What might work is having a "Rivals" forum apart from "Basketball News Central" and really enforcing the distinction. (Sorry, Kori. Sounds like more work for you.) Too many good threads in B News get hijacked. I guess you could ban a few and temporarily clear up the problem, but that really isn't a long term solution. Also, I kind of like how you can have a bad day, post something really stupid, and not get kicked off of here. It wouldn't be Spurs Talk without a few Mavs and Suns trolls.
