If we're thinking seriously....
Would JJ be one of those young players who would rather want to learn behind veteran's or would he rather be one of those young players who wants to play? Because he sure as wouldn't get as much playing time here.

First off, the trade wouldn't go through. Barry is making something like 5.5M this year and Re is barely breaking 2M. Plus, the Magic don't seem to have any capable fillers that we could plug in to make it all work.
Secondly, do we really want Re ? He has no defensive ability, hes not athletic at all, hes undersized and he is completely unproven at this level. Although, the guy can flat out shoot. And I know I've said before that above all else we need shooters on this team to replace Barry and Finley. But frankly, I think the player we get needs to be able to at least fake a viable defensive effort.

Me too. Ariza could be a good player. But Re would definitely fill a need...if we took everything else that came along with it. Hes hardly a complete player.
Ariza is in the dog house with SVG because he can't shoot.
He could be a great target for a deadline trade or this summer when he will become a FA if he opts out.

Beat me to it. He had a good year last year, after signing a new deal, but is getting very few minutes because they stupidly signed Rashard Lewis to a Franchise player type contract.
JJ can't play defense, he can't bring the ball up the court against pressure, and he can only get his shot when you run a bunch of screens for him or if he's out there for a kickout.
