It's hurting that whole area right now, but it's there and it's worth it.
me and my guy friend wanted to go and try this place out.. since neither of us has ever had a burger there and have heard good things about it. Man I wish I knew how horrible the construction around there is!! Blanco was closed off and we had to find a way around it. I got frustrated and told him we should just go somewhere else! then coming back home was a hassle too, because I guess a few entrances onto I10 are closed so we were stuck on feeder road traffic for a while too. man I am so disappointedwhen is that construction going to end and is Chris Madrid's even open? I really didn't know how to get to it!

go down a block. turn left.. go 5 blocks turn left. and you're there.
Yeah, their burgers are ing awesome.
the way we went.. was I-10 East, exit Fresno, turn Left on W. Hildebrand and a Right on Blanco.. BUT.. the road was closed off and we could not make a right on Blanco. sooo... do you mean keep going straight on Hildebrand and turn right further up and maybe go around? we kind of tried that and hit more road blocks lol. it just got really frustrating.. maybe we will try some other time!

It is absolutely worth it. Chris Madrid's Cheddar Cheezy is easily the best burger I've had in my life.
overrated....a thin tasteless patty.....too much cheddar...which doesn't belong on a burger anyways....and they top it with enough veggies to make a salad. no thanks. give me the western 1/2 burger from bobby j's any time over that POS madrid's bull .

Yep..it's still open. I went there last Thursday. You can hit it off San Pedro (go west on Hollywood) without getting in the construction.
I prefer Sam's Burger Joint.
I also recently tried out The Longhorn Cafe (I think it's the Longhorn Cafe).
Anyway, it was recomended to me and it was pretty damn good.
Just don't go to the one in Leon Springs on a Sunday afternoon...the owner is off then and the high school kids are running it...it sucks then.

I'm the one that wanted to just go somewhere else. just wasn't worth it to me (at the time)... so I TOLD him.. because you know.. I call the shots

last tme i went there it was a major pain in the ass to get to it too... i ended up parking in a neighborhood and just walking. took about 45 minutes total... but those burgers are worth it. 2 days worth of calories though.
