Just a whole lot of internet rumors. It's all crap no way Joe would put Amir in that deal.

If Kobe really wants to be traded why does he not waive his no trade clause.

exactly. He will probably be a Laker until his contract is up and then catch the first flight out of L.A.

    ^What he said.
And, this rumor has been denied before. Marc Stein simply brought it up again, and it's just been denied again.

    From Chad Ford's chat:
Coop(Detroit,MI): Good day Chad? Rumor in the Motor City Kobe to the Pistons for Tay,Rip,Amir & 1st Rd Pick but Kobe shot it down because he didnt want Tay to be included any truth to this and Who would win the trade?

Chad Ford: After talking to a couple of people close to the situation ... they are all saying this is bogus. I think the Pistons had some interest in October when the Kobe rumors were flying. But once they saw the price tag ... they were out. It never got to a Kobe veto. It never got anywhere. The Pistons did what every team in the league did. They called? The looked to see if there was a great deal out there ... and then, like every other team in the league, they laughed at Mitch Kupchak when they heard the asking price.
