Wasn't it just a few days ago when this whole team was actually healthy?

    Lakers' Brown sprains knee, ankle

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Lakers center Kwame Brown was helped off the court Sunday night after injuring his left leg in the first quarter of a game against the Chicago Bulls.

Lakers spokesman John Black said Brown sustained moderate sprains of his left ankle and knee when Bulls center Ben Wallace fell into him under the Los Angeles basket with 8:18 left in the opening period.

Black said X-rays were being taken as well.

Kobe Bryant charged into Wallace while driving toward the basket and passing underneath to Brown, who went down in a heap clutching his left leg after the contact, which came as he was going up for a shot.

Brown was averaging 4.7 points and 5.5 rebounds in his first six games.

This guy is injured every other week it seems. Lakers should trade him now when he still has some value. I don't think the return they get from him is much. With all his constant injuries, him being in and out of the starting lineup really ends up hurting a lot of the on court chemistry that unit has.

    Lakers’ Brown Out Indefinitely

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 19 (AP) -- Los Angeles Lakers center Kwame Brown will be sidelined indefinitely with a sprained medial collateral ligament in his left knee.

Lakers spokesman John Black said an MRI on Monday revealed the extent of the injury.

Brown was hurt early in the Lakers' 106-78 victory over Chicago on Sunday.

He will not make the team's upcoming three-game road trip, and is scheduled to be reevaluated in about a week.

The Lakers have depth at center with Chris Mihm and Andrew Bynum, and Ronny Turiaf also can play the position.

Brown injured his knee and also mildly sprained his left ankle when Bulls center Ben Wallace fell into him under the Los Angeles basket with 8:18 left in the opening period.

Brown was averaging 4.7 points and 5.5 rebounds in his first six games this season.

Not surprised, the guys a walking injury. He's only good for bodying up centers anyways. He's actually not really needed that much. His offense is so bad that it doesn't make up for his post D. But he does make bigs work so he should still be useful in the playoffs.
