Mine is a couple years old, they don't make it any more. I guess it's the equivalent of the Slingbox AV, though.

I've probably got the same one as you. The original one. The thing is a Godsend as I am on the road most of the NBA season and the Slingbox allows me to watch every game.

Expalin this to me, I know what it does but I'm sorta confused... So I can hook this up to my Dish box and internet and then I can sit at work and watch TV on my phone (I have a Samsung Blackjack). Do I have to have wifi at work for it to work? can I only watch the channel the dish at home is set to? Do I have to be in my wireless's range?

can someone explain it to me.. it seems too good to be true

Hook it up to the Dish / Internet and it will stream to any laptop or phone - you can only have 1 connection at once. You must have wireless signal on your phone, with a decent data connection to stream it.

Lik enigma said, only if you have internet capabilities on your phone.

And obviously you have to have a high-speed link at home to connect to. If your work allows it, you can watch your cable on your computer there. The software has a remote control emulator so you can control stations.
