Very, very scary.![]()
no link yet, but watching clips of the Raptors-Hawks game and TJ Ford gets rolled out in a stretcher with a brace around his head and neck after getting fouled and landing somewhat awkwardly hitting his head after falling down. just speculation, but could be another neck/spinal injury.

I've got the post game show on and they're not saying much about it. Hopefully it's not that serious.
He was going for a layup and Horford hit him right in the face and then when he fell, he hit his head on the court. It didnt look good, hopefully its nothing too serious.
He has feeling in his arms and legs but he was lying there a LONG time- in tears.
No offense to the poster above but you are talking about fantasy basketball and this looked like it could be a career ending injury. It looked that bad.
He got hit by Horford, it didn't look that bad until he hit the floor.
your kidding?? THAT SERIOUS??
http://scores.espn.go.com/nba/recap?gameId=271211001T.J. Ford scored 26 points before he was sent crashing to the floor with an apparent injury on a flagrant foul late in the game, casting a pall over Toronto's 100-88 victory over the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday night.
Ford, who missed the 2004-05 season following neck surgery, was headed toward a breakaway basket when Atlanta rookie Al Horford hit the guard's face with his hand. Ford landed hard, his head bouncing off the floor.
Ford was conscious but did not appear to move before he was strapped to a stretcher and wheeled off the court.
Horford was ejected with the flagrant foul.
I hope they are just being extra, extra careful and that the tears were more in fear than anything, but he was down there a long time and they took extra precautions because of his history. His head snapped back in the air and then he hit it when he landed, too. I heard he did not know where he was when it happened so maybe it is more a concussion, but it looked so scary because of his history.
Toronto Raptors guard T.J. Ford was taken off the court on a stretcher following a hard foul late in Tuesday night's game against the Atlanta Hawks.

There was immediate concern because Ford missed the 2004-05 season following neck surgery.
Toronto coach Sam Mitc reacted with anger following the foul and soon the Raptors players huddled in prayer. Mitc stood and watched as medical personnel secured Ford to a stretcher.

Raptors win but Ford badly hurt
http://www.nationalpost.com/sports/story.html?id=161354Point guard T.J. Ford appeared to be seriously hurt after receiving a flagrant foul from Atlanta's Al Horford in the fourth quarter of Toronto's 100-88 win over the Hawks.
With Toronto leading 92-84 late in the game, Ford had took an Atlanta turnover to the Hawks' end for a lay-up attempt. Horford, trying to block the shot, slapped Ford in the back of the head, sending the point guard to the floor. Ford's head bounced off the floor, with Ford left motionless. Ford was taken off the court on a stretcher, with many of the Raptors visibly shaken...
Toronto forward Jorge Garbajosa, meanwhile, was having surgery in Maryland Tuesday on his left leg and ankle.
Sam Mitc was crying during the post-game interview.![]()
That's ing scary. I totally feel for that kid. Damn.
i hope they make an example out of horford. these types of actions are a lot more serious than the little fights that the nba always spazzes out about.
Poor Ford!
How scary.
I will definitely be praying for him.

That was a nasty foul!

Prayer is the best reaction in a situation like that. What an awesome witness!
The Raptors are a great team- praying and caring for each other just like a family would.
They already did by throwing him out of the game. I'll reserve judgment until I've seen it a few more times, but on first watch it didn't look like that hard of a foul.
Horford didn't do it on purpose. Looked like he stuck his hand out and tried to reach as far as possible and didn't expect to hit Ford in the face.
It wasn't a dirty play by Horford. He was trying to anticipate where he thought the shot was going.
he hit him in the face. it was a dangerous play and completely unnecessary. if you can get banned for 10 games for throwing a little punch, you deserve 10 games for something like this.
