I hate bosses. They move things around sometimes without thinking about how it influences other people. I had an interview scheduled for today at 2:30 and i get an e-mail that said "Sorry, we're moving it to Friday and I'll get back to you about the time." First, this was in the middle of my lunch so I wasn't missing work to go interview and second, it was a final interview, not just some litttle "Come in and we'll chat" interview.
It involved a 30 minute presentation in front of a bunch of supervisors who would ultimately be the deciding on the position. So, I was walking around all day in a daze, nervous and worried about it and then, at around 12....bam. Now the nerves and daze continues until Friday.
And then someone backed out of a huge DSL sale at the end of a disclosure
Oh...being a grown-up.

Don't for one minute think anyone will ever give a about your life, your schedule, your conviences or anything for that matter. We all act day in and day out like we're good people doing good things for each other but the fact of the matter is 99.9% of the world out there will walk right over you if you let up for one minute. ing people is just one justification away from reality.

I think companies should prioritize calming the nerves of prospective entry-level interviewees over maintaining flexibility in their daily schedules in order to run their businesses properly.

A smart person would welcome the extra time and the ability to hone their presentation.

She was venting. It happens. It is normal to be frusterated and even make a big deal out of a small thing. It is how you are able to cope with it and move on that really matters.

You got this job fairly recently and now you're getting an opportunity to make a presentation for what I guess will be an opportunity for advancment, ... be happy you have this, some companies wouldn't give you this chance unless you busted your ass for a couple of years.
