Seriously though...this is pretty intersting. I sympathize with their plight, I understand their anger...but their culture was defenseless and that's why it got it's ass kicked. This is what happens when cultures refuse to evolve with the changing world, it's not a matter of right or wrong, it's evolution at work.

And it's absolutely a battle they cannot hope to win. And the day America stops progressing and starts clinging to the old ways, is the day it will happen here as well.

Truthfully though, I've always wanted to adapt certain aspects of the Native American way of life...but I'm not sure exactly what they are hoping to reclaim with this gesture...the day of buffalo hunting and living freely off the land is long since passed. It also leaves you defenseless against external threats...and believe it or not, there are others besides America.

To say that is why they got their ass kicked is ridiculous but I understand why some feel that way. Progression on other people is not always a good thing. I admire the Native Americans and love their way of life. They didn't have to get their asses kicked and were only fighting to keep what was theirs and they didn't ask for more. They were willing to live in peace but the US broke every treaty. That is how I see it.
