Jazz are the only team to shoot like 55+% FG and still lose games. WTF, play same damn defense, dont let chucker pierce drive, dont let scrubs shoot 3s in the clutch.

    Great game though.

Great road win for the Celts. Even if they lose tomorrow it will still be a successful road trip for them at 3-1. Which is a real possibilty since Kobe will be motivated at home with how badly they played in Boston.

I blame Sloan for that one. Brewer in no way can defend Pierce. He should have kept Harpring on him regardless of the 5 fouls and let the chips fall where they may.

i'm having a hard time coming up with any kind of downside to the celtics, it bugs me. when detroit went on a tear, at least the question of flip saunders' lack of defensive a en was something to hang on to, and the pistons showed some letup in the defensive department. with the mavs, the choking against the heat gave some pause and the losses to golden state had one salivating that the matchup that came about would come about. i see nothing that says the celtics won't go all the way. it saddens me, i was hoping for the repeat.

Is good for the NBA that Boston is relevant again no matter how thier season ends. I pick them at least to get to the Finals. I know Detroit is the favorite to win the East but I go back to the 06 and 07 playoffs against the Heat and the Cavs when they imploded. In 06 they lose Game 1 to Miami and never get back homecourt advantage and lose at Miami in Game 6. In 07 they go up 2-0 vs Cavs and then drop the next 4. Ending with Sheed's ejection that cost them what was a close game with 9 minutes to go in the 4th.

Perhaps it's not a good idea to throw in the towel in December. But I understand where you're coming from...25-3 is unbelievable.

Just remember last time this season (almost), suns and mavs looked this dominant and their schedules weren't as easy as the Celtics so far. I remember thinking that those two teams were completely on a different level, of course there was always the mavs choking issue but nevertheless, they played with a chip on their shoulder.

Celtics I think are a better team than the mavs were last season, but I think later on we will begin to see their weaknesses. I do think they have a great chance of making the finals though.

While the Celtics are good, there are a few flaws. Is Doc Rivers a big time coach that can lead a team to the le? I am not sure. How many minutes per game are Allen, Pierce and Garnett playing? I believe it is pretty high, all higher than Detroit's starters. If Boston was smart they would sacrifice a few games and rest the big three rather than play them 40 minutes a game and have them exhausted for the playoffs.

i'm a pessimist. i had been thinking that kg-td cancel, manu-allen cancel, bowen could put a hurt on pierce and no one on the celtics could contend with tp. but i checked their last game last year, when the celts won, and that dashed some hopes. yeah, it's december, but what would we be saying if the spurs were 25-3? does make me wonder what the mavs/suns/pistons were posting at this time during their big regular season runs.

i think this has come up before and it was shown that those players are actually playing fewer minutes if not the fewest minutes of their careers. the coach thing is always iffy, i mean, how good was pop seen before they won it all?

Every team has thier flaws. As for the minutes I really don't think it will be an issue in the playoffs. I am sure once they have a playoff spot secured you will see the Big 3 start playing less minutes. I do think however that they will go for the top seed in the east. Lets see what happens.

KG and TD in no way, shape or form cancel each other out. Duncan is a smarter player and a winner, Garnett is not.

Duncan has always had better players around him then KG. Duncan has had Parker,Manu,Bowen,Horry and DROB among others. Garnett has had Jaric,Cassell and I got a family to feed Sprewell.

I am not sure armando. I think minutes are a lot bigger deal than people make it. It only took Dantoni how many regular season wins and postseason losses before he realized that he can't kill his starters in the regular season? Scratch that, I am not sure he realizes that. Look at the Pistons a few years ago when they won all those games in the regular season, they were tired and lost in the playoffs. Pop recognizes this and I believe this is one reason the Spurs usually have great success in the playoffs.

that notwithstanding, scoring/rebounding-wise, i believe they've come pretty close to each other whenever they've been matched up against each other.

True but you also have to look how the Celts are winning games. They are in very few close games. Most of the time by halftime or by the end of the 3rd quarter they are blowing teams out. Is not like they are grinding out all the games which take is toll alot more then playing alot of minutes. Plus the Celts play more of the bench then the Suns do now and more then Detroit did the last 2 years.

Good points. Lots of time left to see how things shake out. One thing on the Celtics side though will be their cohesion on offense. The more these new faces play together the better the chemistry will be.

i put this out there once before, nobody bit, but i had wondered if the celtics' success merely reflects what we'd see if the suns were put out in the east. the suns beat the jazz 103-98, pretty close to tonight's 104-98.

No way, I don't think the Celtics show what the Suns would do in the East at all, two completely different teams. Phoenix is lead by a high octane, running offense lead by a point guard. Boston is completely different in that they are really being lead by their outstanding defense and rebounding. I think the teams are far too different for that assertion to be accurate.

Celtics play defense which sometimes the Suns forget to do.

Rondo has been a pleasant surprise he really is playing well.
