In my experiences in customer service people tend to say that when they can't get what they want and I just say " both of my parents are black how dare you!"
The guy sugested me so I asked him as above.
Cause I was (in his opinion) unpleasant towards him.
He was arabic and had a black friend. (not gay) hehe
All in all - would you be pissed if somebody suggested you that you are (when you simply aren't?)
To go further. have you ever met "racist" situations?
And what you think about that overall.

well as long as your manager knows that you did nothing wrong and made you apologize so the customer is happy is cool I guess. I would say something like " I'm sorry you feel that way but it has nothing to do with race .....unless you made the black guy use another water fountain and asked the Indian guy where he parked his taxi
Did you use the word "######" at anytime?
Did you call the desert lover a "towel head"?
If you answered "yes" to any of those questions, then you are a racist.
If not, don't worry about it.
Been there done that.
When dealing with ascanine people you just have to keep it simple, keep it straight. If they get nuts enough call in the manager, and explain IMMEDIATELY what happened, what was said, what the situation is.
Don't sweat it. Its most of the time cheap people trying to screw over the business.

well thats understandable. It would just suck to lose your job over something so stupid. when they check out make sure to say real loud " ok we are going to have to charge you more because of all the gay porn that was ordered from your rooms"

How, exactly, would you determine that someone lied about being offended?
Depends on the situation.
I've seen it a million times though, people feigning "being offended" trying to squeeze free out of a business.
