The NBA.com Power Rankings pointed out that Phoenix is 1-6 against the top 8 teams in the West, with their only win coming against the Spurs without Parker.

Yeah Amare, staying on the bench was ALL that needed to be done to win a championship, right?

I've been saying all along their record is padded with easy wins over sub .500 EC teams. Their schedule from Feb. onwards is brutal. Expect their record to drop like a rock.

I would wait to the season ends and then see where the Suns stand against other top teams.

Not sure, but they beat Detroit, a tough opponent, in the playoffs and had a very easy opponent in the Finals.

When the Heat won the le their record against top teams was abysmal, 0-2 vs Mavs Suns, Spurs, and 1-3 vs. Detroit I believe

All though that is a little bit concerning, it's not that big of deal for a team like the Suns. They have had great records in the regular season and what has that got them?? I think they are at the stage that many teams that have been contenders for a few years straight get to, where they don't care about the regular season as much as long as they get a Top 4 seed. When you have been to the Playoffs, and gone far only to come up short, or even win it all, it's harder to get up for a regular season game. It's all about the Playoffs for them, they know that, and so does everyone else.

But with that being said, it's not a good thing, and if it continues for the entire season, that's is not a good sign. It should be easier to get up for games when you are playing the best teams. But it's early.

The heat played a crappy conference. The suns play in the west. It'll be harder road compared to what Miami went thru.

toronto raptors are 3-6 against top 8 teams in the west. therefore, they are better than the suns despite getting blown out twice by them. i see your logic now.

The Suns always play up or down to their opponents. I think it's a blessing that they will finish with the tough teams this year. Let's them ramp up to the playoffs.

Fans of good teams always say this, I see it from the Mavs and Spurs too. You just don't get to beat every team by 40 points every night. Seeing the Suns records the last 3 years, I'll say they play well above their compe ion. I think while it's early to get too stressed about it, what should worry Suns fans is that almost every big man has had career games vs. the Suns this year. While they have always been bad at protecting the basket, this year seems to be especially bad. Of course, as I said earlier, the Heat were supposed to struggle against fast teams, with talented perimeter players during the le year. What happened was that with Wade going to the FT line, they slowed the game down so much that it allowed them to set up their defense against NJ, Det, Dal. If you find a similiar way to overcome your problem, you might end up winning it all.
