vince was real good today. let's see if he can pull it off.
I don't think they have a shot... i heard if Cleveland wins next weekend they lock up a playoff birth, so I think they own the tiebreaker?? (correct me if i'm wrong)
They play Cincy next week and San Fran the week after that
Tennessee still has the Colts on their plate.
While the Jaguars have 2 creampuff games with Raiders and Texans
If Vince lucks out (like he did last year in making the pro bowl as a FORTH option), he will get raped in the first round. It won't be because his team "sucks", its because he is over-rated and will be nothing more than a great college player and a sucky pro player. all the Vince homers!!
that Matt Schaub is somethin else. Oh wait, Sage Rosenfels > Matt Schaub. Nevermind, Schaub sucks .
That may be true but he is a step up from Carr. Plus Rosenfels is 4-0 as a starter. So if the Browns kick ass next year are you going to be a browns fan?
He played pretty well yesterday.
That's his problem; consistency.
One of the AFC scouts said it best: "At some point, you have to make throws from the pocket in the passing game. He'll have some good games, but week in and week out, every week is chaos to him.
"If your biggest threat is pulling it down and running, maybe there's a reason."
Some Vince homers say its because he doesn't have talent around him, which I think is just an excuse. As you said he is not consistent. You can't have that as your team leader.
He's still young, but if he doesn't improve by this time next year, he probably never will.
And the scouts compared his throwing motion to that of Carr and Harrington.
Ouch.
and yet somehow Vince's team is fighting for a playoff spot in the AFC. All Texans fans are doing is celebrating useless sacks by Mario Williams.
Yeah he had a good game last week, but his number have been poor all season. Last week was the first time he had a QB rating above 100 for the season.

They won't make it so this thread is pointless. Guess your a Vince bandwagon fan now. You know your credibility got shut down the moment they called you out on being a bandwagon fan in the cowboys thread.
Texan fans aren't necessarily celebrating Mario's "useless" sacks, we are celebrating the big strides our team is taking. That's what fans do when they support a team that has sucked for years and is finally turning it around. If you were a real Pats fan, which everyone knows you aren't, you would've experienced the same thing in the late 90's, but you don't since you are a pussy bandwagon fan.
LOL wow if he gets thrown into the category of those guys, you know that has to be pretty bad. Still young, yeah he is but in the case of Carr and Harrington, they haven't improved and were sought out to be future stars. I said this day one, (and not because the Texans passed on him, I was happy about that) Vince will be one of the best college players that we have ever seen, however he won't be a great NFL QB. A mobile QB has proven that they cannot get the job done.......ex Moon, Culpepper, Mcnabb, Vick. Sooner or later you have to throw the ball and be a pocket QB. Yes running is a bonus and should be a last resort. Bottom line, VY isn't accurate and probably never will be.
Warren Moon wasn't a mobile QB.
it's always the same. when in doubt, start some got bandwagoner talk. that talk is so ing old.
He was for his day.
awww did you get your little pussy hurt!!
no he wasn't. learn some ing football history.
Randall Cunningham was a mobile QB not Moon. Even Steve Young and John Elway were considered mobile QBs moreso than Moon.
I wouldn't put VY in the Carr/Harrington mold, but it just goes to show how much work he has to do on his mechanics.
If he does fix his footwork and/or throwing motion, he should easily be a top 5 QB IMO.
