Live in CA ya beezies!
4 degrees in Lebanon, IN, heading to a low tonight of -2. According to random Indy news weathercaster. All of the trucks at our Frankfort plant were plugged into engine heaters. They couldn't spare one for me...I hope mine starts!
Now I know how I managed to get this run!

I'm not going to bite on that tasty morsel...![]()
Right now, 7:00AM, Jan 20...we are 1 stinkin' degree warmer than Fairbanks, Alaska here in San Antonio. It's 18 here, it's 17 there.
I hate cold so frickin' much. There is NOTHING I like about it. Zip. Nada.
It's 18 here and I'm in the southWe've had snow twice this week. Atlanta does not get snow usually and twice in 1 week? I froze all night at work, I'm not an Eskimo, geez, warm up already.
Welcome to La Nina, the periodic seasonal regimen that influences weather from the Indian Ocean to the Caribbean!
After 6 years of crippling drought, much of inland Australia is now being inundated by floods. At this time last year Canberra was regularly hitting 40C, today was 21C. I love La Nina summers (living in a west-facing top floor apartment gets pretty hot during the droughts!).
Any freezing rain in SA this year? I lived through a week of it last year. Strange phenomenon, but I got some cool pics.![]()
I'm watching the Aussie Open and seeing them in shorts and eating ice cream, stay out of the cold thread!![]()
Global Warming.
I could not live up north with that kind of weather. I was miserable on Friday when it was cold and rainy here. And I had to work outside that day! I haaate being cold!!
The bay gets no lower than the 40's unless it's overnight in a damn cold front!
Today's high was around 60!
BIIIIOTCHES!
Froze my ties off update...
My truck, in fact, did not start. Froze up like a mother er! It took the mechanic almost 2 hours to thaw the sum out so it would start. And I learned a handy little piece of information that I, up to yesterday morning, hadn't needed to know. The engine heater is built in to the bleeping truck, and all I needed was a bleeping extension cord plugged into one of the hotel's outside bleeping plugs to avoid such deep-freeze nonsense in the future. me runnin'.
And a driver from our Charlotte, NC, traffic center showed up as I was warming my freshly thawed out International up to leave. He decided to leave his truck idling during his layover. Wish I would have thought of that! DOH!!!
It's only supposed to get to 26 tonight in Little Rock. I don't forsee any problems.
