Ever since Dallas mayor Laura Miller thought it would be okay to plan a parade after Game Two of the 06 Finals, Dallas sports teams have been incredibly sucky to say the least.
The Mavs have choked twice, the Cowboys have choked twice, The Stars can't ever win in the playoffs, The freakin Desperadoes choke every year in the playoffs, and the Rangers suck (probably not a result of the curse tho).
Some are calling it the "Curse Of The Parade Route" but I think we all need to call it "The Curse Of Laura Miller" since she's basically the worst mayor the city of Dallas has ever had.
It may be another 70 years before Dallas sees a championship of any kind. The Curse Of Laura Miller has just begun...

neither. but Laura Miller was in charge when the parade route disaster took place, and Dallas sports haven't been the same since.

Well, Dallas should have felt very fortunate to even be in the Finals that year. A couple of lucky shots and calls here and there got them past the Spurs. Then they played Phoenix without Amare.
Someone has got to be choke city.
Same goes for San Antonio last year. They were very fortunate that Amare wasn't playing.

I remember reading online articles from Dallas newspapers calling Miami the Memphis Grizzlies of the East. There was also a story about Wade showing his teammates a parade website that showed the Mavs parade route in the Heat locker room before Game 3.
Amare is a non-factor. The Spurs would have won anyway. The Spurs have eliminated Amare 3 times in five years on the way to three championships.

Well if she was the mayor in the late 90s. The Mavericks and Stars would be playing in the suburbs as well. I don't care what anyone says. Teams belong in the city, not the suburbs. the suburbs.
