Vaughn becoming a volume shooter was pretty embarrassing in itself. At one point, he had more attempts than Duncan, Ginobili and another player combined.

I have to give him props for being only -3 for the game and keeping his pps over 1, but yeah -- anything much more than 15 minutes of Vaughn is a little oogy.

40% was pretty good in this game especially for Jacque Freakin Vaughn. That's the equivalent to 75% for TP.

My bad, he picked it up and got to 40.
But he was wide open. He thought he could hit a few and make the suns respect his range.
My problem is when he tries to create his own shot.

lol I don't need stats. I watched the game. He had a huge impact on what was a horrid offense by the Spurs.

If everyone else is sucking and too afraid to shoot, shoot some shots JV!

JV has had a nice jumper all season. I don't understand the hate for this guy on this board.

Nash wasn't guarding Vaughn much. In fact, nobody was guarding him most of the time.

That's just it. He missed like 5-6 in a row - WIDE OPEN - even. Would've loved to have seen Damon Stoudamire being left open like that.

Great win, though. We'll take it any way we can get it.

I don't hate him. I think he's a fine backup for Tony. I just don't think he should ever be shooting more than Timmy and Manu combined.

when Timmy and Manu startout 5 for 18 someone else has got to step up. Without Vaughn's offense the spurs lose tonight.

I agree without his offense we lose tonight but i too counted a good 5-6 wide-open jumpers from the in free throw line and he missed em! Stoudemire would've made at least half of those! I want to see what he does with the same amount of room Vaughn had tonight.

Yeah, to be fair Marion dared him to shoot it a lot, at the top of the key I noticed staying on Tim.

That said, Vaughn did his part
I would blame that on D'antoni. he is one dumb mofo
, can't ask for much when the coach tries to employ a hack-a-shaq like strategy.

which is why he should keep shooting. With Tony hurt, teams have to respect his J otherwise they will keep hobling timmay.
I have no problems when a player shoots open jumpers even if he bricks them, eventualy he'll make some.
