That halftime show was pretty farking bad. Had it not been for the Spurs game, I might have had to kill somebody.

Why the do the organizers of these Halftime Shows continue to think that football games are being watched by Girls ages 12-17?? I'm sure Ashlee had a LOT of fans at that game, not to mention watching on TV.

I was wondering the same thing last night. Enough with this B-list crap already! First Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake, then Ashley Simpson? They'd be better off with marching bands, because that at least is part of the color and pageantry of football. Either that, or all the higher profile acts that football fans wanna see wouldn't play for the amount of money the Orange Bowl was offering.
Also, a question. Didn't Jessica Simpson sing at the Sugar Bowl last year?
The reason we get these ty halftimes is because Disney/ABC is televising the game, and artists like Ashley Simpson (and her sister) are Disney artists.

The Cotton Bowl haltime show was great. Just let the bands do their thing and getting these pop stars at the games...this is about colleges, not pop.

As a former band geek, I think that for college bowl games the band should perform at half time. They are a big part of cheering on the team during all the games and I just think it's wrong to cut them out just for that no-talent-having-so&so, dammit.

Anyone can sing in a damn studio,but you find out where the real talent is when you hear someone live.
