about his ankle. Said he jammed it in game 2 against the Suns and it hasnt felt right since....

he's hoping it feels better within the next 24 hours....

this acording to KSAT 12 news.

Should he sit out game 1? I dont think he should but he risks reinjuring it and making things worse.

    This is not good.

Try him out, see how effective he actually in the game, see how he feels afterwards. Based on the answers to those questions, make a decision. How he feels is probably first priority.

If, however, he says he feels "OK" but he's not producing anything in 10, 12, 15 minutes of play, then you might as well sit him out for the rest of the game so he can rest fully.

Why did he practice then, instead of sitting out like Tony?

    Damn manu, heal!

He wasn't even held out of practice yesterday. So I don't think it's serious enough for him to be held out of the game. He's not 100% but very few players are right now.

Sit him.......Tim and Tony and Bruce can handle game 1, Manu must be as healthy as possible to get this series.
Barry and Fin can make up some points.
Even if we lose, the big picture > one game.

Good point. By "not right" maybe he just means it's not anywhere near 100% but he can still play on it.

IF he practiced how the hurt can he be, Tony has bumps and bruises and sat out. Sounds like Tony is worse off than Manu right now.

Hopefully Manu can get back to 100% ASAP. The Spurs can't win the championship with an unhealthy Manu.

Hopefully Blaze can get this video . . .

Are there any Argentine reports regarding Manu's health since the PHX series? Manu usually gives updates to Argentina before here.

The problem is this - Ginobili seems like the sort of person who might downplay his injury as much as possible because he really wants to help his team out and doesn't want to disappoint them.

He had a great game in game 3, but I definitely saw him limping on the court a few times after he jumped up high to get a rebound or keep the ball from going out of bounds.

The only thing I have to go by is watching him limp down the court for a few hops (he promptly looked "normal" again soon after, though). Technically speaking, this doesn't tell me much, but I wouldn't put it past Ginobili to downplay his injury just so he can stay in the game and try to help his team win.

I'm hoping that those limps down the court made his injury seem deceptively more serious than it actually is.

I guess we'll see tomorrow how things play out.

Play him. Its the playoffs and no reason to be conservative.

You do NOT sit about anyone that can walk on two legs in the playoffs...

Ok so say the Spurs play him like normal and he ends up screwing his ankle up even more and then he's out for the entire series.....

    seems an awful big gamble.

If it was that serious, he wouldn't be practicing. Yesterday the Spurs had a long, grueling practice and Manu wasn't held out - Tony was. So I don't think his injury is that serious. He has a tweaked ankle and groin. He's probably just going to have to battle through it.

Or, don't play him and all the Spurs can watch the next series from home.

ok. knowing he practiced yesterday is a good sign. I wonder why then they even made it an issue worthy of air time on the news...

Probably just trying to create drama.

I don't know if he practiced today. I'm sure the Spurs didn't have a heavy practice today though.

Ginobili at 50% is better than no Ginobili. The only way he doesn't play is if he can't walk.

Manu is a sissy. It shows in the videos of Tim pulling his hair.

Dude is metrosexual on top of being sensitive.

    Nothing wrong with it.

    But he's fine.

I hope he is just concerned because he wants to be 100% for the olympics.
