It seems everywhere Obama speaks, and Obambulance has to arrive. A strange thing happens in his presence. Someone always seems to faint in the audience. He then goes on to make a concerned deal about it.

When I first heard about this, I thought it was an opposition joke. However, the radio program I heard this on went to play mayby a dozen different clips from as many events where this fainting occurs.

Is it staged or real? Only Memorex knows...

As of today, it is at the top of Victoria Taft's web page. It may move later, but for now here in the link:

I think the faintings are the result of capacity crowds that are forced to stand for hours on end while waiting for Obama to take the stage. I don't think is unique to Obama, as I saw someone faint at an HRC rally that was broadcast on MSNBC about a week ago.

That may be so, but listening to Victoria Taft today on the radio made me wonder. She had clip after clip of Obama mentioning someone we say faint in the crowd. Once it was past eight or so clips, it started getting strange in my view.

I think it is due to the young people who want to be a part of something and because N'Sync is gone, Obama is their new messiah.

Obama stands for change and so many more great things. I can't wait to see what Obama stands for.

Do you realize how may rallies these candidates have had? , even if someone only fainted at one out of everyone ten events, ulatively, that could be dozens of people fainting over the course of this campaign. Additionally, Obama has been drawing crowds of 20,000+ at many of his events, as such I would think there would be a higher incidence of such things at his events.

You could go to BarackObama.com and learn his stances or you can continue to repeat memes that people feed you.

    Yes. Do that.

I thought he wouldn't be THAT bad, until I read his stances.

Yes, he is extremely liberal, moreso than any elected President has been since FDR.

What's dangerous about him is that it is difficult to attack him based upon his character, and he is persuasive. He is hard to dislike, and might actually persuade the electorate to take more liberal positions on the issues, much as Reagan did for conservatism.

However, he is not obviously evil and self-serving the way Hillary Clinton is.

She didn't say that? And it is not all day, I get on here to get
the other side of the story.

Hey you should be at the rally, shouldn't you. Or are you
    posting from the court house?

No, she did say that. It wasn't her best moment, but at the same time, I don't think it's quite the polemic against America that some people are making it out to be. I was listening to Laura Ingraham this morning and you would have thought that Mic e Obama had broadcast her message on Al Jazeera while burning an American flag (and yes ray, I do listen to Laura Ingraham or Glen Beck on my way to court and Rush on my way to and from lunch).

I do think the comment was self-serving, but I don't think it was unpatriotic or anti-American in any way.

Mr.P. It really isn't important what the talking heads,
or "golden" mic people said. What I find intriguing is
the fact she said was "it" was the first time she was
proud of America. Now she said it, not the talking heads
    or "golden" mic guy.

And you are absolutely correct. It is isn't the end of
the world she did say it, just ironic.

And I want to know something. Was these crooks you
were representing Dimms and was the judge a dimm...
just kidding......but would be interesting to know....

And you know listening the all these folks is going to
    corrupt you mind....

Well, if you read the entire quote -

What we have learned over this year is that hope is making a comeback. It is making a comeback. And let me tell you something — for the first time in my adult lifetime, I am really proud of my country. And not just because Barack has done well, but because I think people are hungry for change. And I have been desperate to see our country moving in that direction and just not feeling so alone in my frustration and disappointment. I’ve seen people who are hungry to be unified around some basic common issues, and it’s made me proud.
    - it's clear that the quote was entirely self-serving. Basically, she is saying that the country coming together in support of her husband is a watershed moment and the kind of movement she has been waiting for her whole life. Again, it just so happens that this movement revolves around her husband (no one has ever accused the Obamas of not having egos).

That being said, I don't see how it is unpatriotic or anti-American to say that, in her view, for the first time in politics people are involved in politics and working together for a common goal (the goal being electing her husband).

I guess the problem with her statement is that she has ignored other instances where the country has come together for a common cause so that she can promote phenomena that is her husband's campaign. Again, self-serving, bot not unpatriotic.

You have to really force yourself to be concerned with that statement by Mic e Obama.

    Politics are so disingenuous.

I have to laugh at the Texas Senator who is supporting Obama. Chris Matthews cornered him by asking him to mention one piece of legislation Obama has been a major part of, the senator responds "I can't do that for you right now". Matthews responds "Isn't that important?" The Senator, "Hope... blah blah blah... Change... blah blah blah..."

John McCain would like to take this time to thank Jesus that America has handed him the presidency on a silver platter.

Yes, because a state senator's inability to cite policy after the Wisconsin primary in February is going to change the course of the general election.

If this is what you're clinging to, you have a long road ahead.

McCain is pro-war, loves Iraq, America hates the Iraq war, wants it terminated ASAP.

McCain with the Iraq millstone around his neck will lose vs Hillary or vs. Obama.
McCain and his intention of continuing all of dubya's is simply unelectable.

Between having a candidate slimed for his oratory and ability to inspire vs a candidate like dubya who hadn't mastered English at mother tongue by his 50s and never travelled abroad or had any kind of personal or professional success, I'll take the former.

Why do you say this? Because the media told you so?

Didn't the media choose Hillary as our president a couple years ago... But wait, what's happening?

Learn from the past two elections, the media doesn't exactly have it right all the time and most Americans will decide for themselves. What the media forgets is that most Americans are somewhere in the middle of right and left, unfortunately for the Dems, they put leftists up against moderates.

Not saying it's a deciding factor, I'm pointing out that it's very telling. If they can cite his empty rhetoric word for word, you'd think they could site one thing he's accomplished in the political realm.
