What's gay is that SA plays Denver twice and both games are the back end of a back2back.
Back-to-backs haven't seemed to bother this team as much as past years. The Spurs are 6-5 in the first game of back-to-backs and 8-3 in the second games with 4 sweeps of the sets (they were also swept once (at UTH, at SEA) at the start of the RRT).
More than the number of games or the sets of back-to-backs, March has a rough stretch of really good opponents:
Mar. 7 @ DEN
Mar. 9 @ PNX
Mar. 10 v. DEN
Mar. 12 @ NO
Mar. 14 @ DET
Mar. 15 v. PHIL
Mar. 17 v. BOS
Mar. 20 @ CHI
Mar. 21 v. SAC
Mar. 23 @ DAL
Mar. 25 @ ORL
11 games in 19 days with road games against 4 elite teams (PNX, NO, DET, DAL) a home game against the team with the best record (BOS), 2 games in 4 nights against Denver, a roadie at Orlando (which is actually the first night of a back-to-back with the Clippers at home on the 26th) and the intervening games against teams that tend to play hard most nights (PHIL, CHI, SAC).
The Spurs will be battle tested by the end of March. We'll see where their record stands when it's all over.
13 - 5 looks a little more realistic to me.
i wouldn't be so quick to pencil in a win against milwaukee. that's been a blackhole for the spurs the past few years.
