Living in the past?
Living in the past?
yes ... the very, very recent past.
It's time to shut the rest of these es down in the West.
Spurs WILL REPEAT!
I'm a Suns fan but the Spurs will not repeat
Teams with better chances to win the le
1.- Celtics
2.- Lakers
3.- Suns
4.- Pistons
5.- Mavs
6.- Hornets
7.-Spurs
EPIC FAIL.
Hornets!? No experience. Watch out in a season or two.
Mavs!? Just gave away their Spur killers!
Pistons. Maybe.
Suns!? Just made a panic trade and changed their entire setup, not to mention their mental block against good west teams.
Lakers. Maybe, dependent on the health og Kobe and Bynum.
Celtics. Maybe, but their depth may be a weakness.
i think houston has more chances than dallas this year
Wait, did you just say that the Spurs have a better chance to win the le than the Spurs? That's heavy.
Princess Pimp= EFG?
Look i hate the f#cking Lakers but their team is bad ass. If Kobe's finger does not keep him out. Which it does not look like it will. Then Bynum comes back in a few weeks they are going to be tough as to beat.
Then the team that is most underrated is the Jazz. We just don't get to see them enough. But they added a nice outside shooter in Korver and they have a terrific lineup with Williams, Boozer, AK-47 etc. And they have a good coach. They will be tough as too.
Bottom line, the West is stacked 1 thru 8. And if you think the top 4 seeds will all survive the first round of the playoffs think again. There will be some upsets.
But if i had to rank them in order of who has the best chance to make the finals from the West i would say:
1. Lakers
2. Jazz
3. Spurs
4 thru 8 (pick a number)
I think it's anybody's game this playoffs depending on the matchups.
I don't think anyone will be able to really know how all these newly shuffled teams will do until they're in a seven game series.
Based on that reasoning I'm going to still say right now that the Spurs are the team to beat in the West, and, because of their longevity as a group and their overall depth I'm leaning towards Detroit in the East. If Detroit just had a head coach other than Flip I'd feel a little more certain about that prediction. It will be Boston or Detroit out of the East without a doubt.
LA does appear to be pretty solid with the addition of Gasol, and Phil is a great coach so, reluctantly I'm probably penciling them in as the #2 team in the West. The Hornets may be young, but they're coach is probably my favorite in the game after Pop. If he can get the Nets to the Finals twice in a row he can certainly get the most out of his young talented bunch in New Orleans so they're my #3 in the West.
Until I see how Shaq and Kidd are going to fit in to their respective teams I'm not sure if they'll truly contend or not. Again it will come down to matchups. Heck, Golden State still has the balls to knock out a 1 seed again this year.
And Houston and Utah loom with very talented teams.
The Western playoffs are going to be amazing.
Any of the following teams can make it out of the WC depending on the playoff matchups:
1. Spurs
2. Lakers
3. Jazz
4. Hornets
These 4 teams have the most balanced lineups from top to bottom.
You forgot Cleveland and Memphis.
