I'm trying to install software so I can use a controller to play the videogames I have on my computer.
But when I put the software CD in, the computer doesn't pick it up. Help?

I just bought it just now, like 15 minutes ago.
It's the first time I take it out.

Try another CD in the drive. If it works, then probably not your drive right? Try the CD in another drive as well.

Go to my computer after the CD is in and open the CD manually.

Download the driver and setup from the controller manufacture's website and proceed.

Kinda. It works and its not slow but I still get errors every now and then. I'm sure the disk or disk cables are ed. But really it serves my purposes for now. It'll probably crash sometime while I'm doing something important and then I'll get pissed.

Try changing your Ram and see if the errors stop.

It's probably the disk that's screwed up but sometimes ITunes or Burning/Ripping software keep your drive from detecting certain disks....and you can always try rebooting as well..

Does your drive update what's in it as soon as you put it in the drive and it detects the disk? Mine doesn't...and sometimes I get an invalid format message but then I reboot and it accepts the disk.
